MINUTES OF THE GOVERNANCE PANEL HELD ON TUESDAY 17 FEBRUARY 2009, IN SWAN LOUNGE, JUDGES LODGINGS, COMMENCING AT 10.00 AM AND CONCLUDING AT 11.15 AM.

The Vice-Chairman, Brenda Jennings, took the Chair in the absence of the Chairman.

3 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON

Tuesday 5 November 2008 were agreed and signed as a correct record.

4 MATTERS ARISING

Members discussed the Instruments of Government and asked that in future when the Instruments are amended to increase the number of governors, some background information is provided.

RECOMMENDED

That the appointment of LEA governors where vacancies have arisen and the re- appointment of those governors who wished to serve for a further terms of office, as outlined above, be recommended to the Cabinet Member for Achievement and Learning.

6 INSTRUMENT OF GOVERNMENT FOR THE BOURTON MEADOW SCHOOL GOVERNING BODY

Members considered the new Instrument of Government for the Governing Body of Bourton Meadow School.

RECOMMENDED

That the new Instruments of Government for the Governing Body of Bourton Meadow School be recommended for agreement to the Cabinet Member for Achievement and Learning.

7 INSTRUMENT OF GOVERNMENT FOR ASH HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL GOVERNING BODY

Members considered the new Instrument of Government for the Governing Body of Ash Hill Primary School.

RECOMMENDED

That the new Instruments of Government for the Governing Body of Ash Hill Primary School be recommended for agreement to the Cabinet Member for Achievement and Learning subject to the Acting Chairman being satisfied with the additional supporting information provided by Pam Duncan.

8 INSTRUMENT OF GOVERNMENT FOR THE GOVERNING BODY OF COMBINED SCHOOL.

Members considered the new Instrument of Government for the Governing Body of Grendon Underwood Combined School.

RECOMMENDED

That the new Instruments of Government for the Governing Body of Grendon Underwood Combined School be recommended for agreement to the Cabinet Member for Achievement and Learning subject to the Acting Chairman being satisfied with the additional supporting information provided by Pam Duncan.

9 INSTRUMENT OF GOVERNMENT FOR THE GOVERNING BODY OF GREAT MARLOW SCHOOL.

Members considered the new Instrument of Government for the Governing Body of Great Marlow School.

RECOMMENDED

That the new Instruments of Government for the Governing Body of Great Marlow School be recommended for agreement to the Cabinet Member for Achievement and Learning.
