Nevada is now 8-5 overall and 3-3 in Mountain West play after Saturday’s 69-67 loss at San Diego State.

San Diego State leads the all-time series, 21-6, and the loss was Nevada’s fifth-straight to the Aztecs...the Pack also falls to 1-10 all-time at Viejas Arena, with 10-straight losses.

Head coach is now 8-11 all-time against San Diego State.

Nevada’s three losses in Mountain West play have come by a total of nine points, as the Pack has lost by two, five, and two, respectively.

For the second time in the series, Nevada made more field goals than San Diego State Saturday (24-23)...the Pack fell to 7-2 in games in which it has made more field goals than its opponent, with both losses coming this series to the Aztecs.

The Pack held its opponent to under 70 points for the ninth time this season, but fell to 6-3 when doing so.

Nevada is now 1-3 this season in games decided by five points or less, and 0-3 in such Mountain West contests.

Sophomore guard Grant Sherfield finished the night with 20 points, his sixth 20-point performance of the season, and fourth in a row...the four- game run of 20-point games is the longest by a Pack player since Jalen Harris’ nine-game streak from Jan. 29-Feb. 29 of last year.

Sherfield has also now scored in double figures in 12 of 13 games this season.

Sherfield tied his career high with nine assists...he previously had nine against Air Force on Dec. 18.

Junior forward K.J. Hymes scored a career-high 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting and a 4-for-5 effort from the line...Hymes’ previous career high was 13 points at Colorado State on Jan. 29, 2020.

Junior forward Robby Robinson played a season-high 28 minutes, grabbing seven rebounds and scoring four points.
