Head of Community - Community Group for Rugby Club

Community Group are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as “Head of Community” at our partner club Esher RFC.

Community Group are building an enviable reputation as the market leader for implementing and managing “Community engagement” programmes. Partnering with 8 clubs throughout the UK we are looking for an individual to join the team to help implement and drive our Esher RFC community engagement programme.

Position: Role: Head of Community - Community Group at Esher RFC Reporting to: Area Manager for London and the South East Location: 369 Road, , , KT12 3PF Job type: Full Time 40 hours per week. Salary: Attractive package

Role: The Head of Community will work with the Area Manager to develop and be responsible for the implementation of a programme, delivering successful community engagement whilst driving high quality sporting provision in support of Esher RFC mini and junior teams, schools, further education and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities: a) Gain and develop a wide range of sports coaching contracts with schools and organisations b) Ensure and maintain high standards of coaching delivery across all programmes c) Work closely with local organisations and NGB’s with Rugby Union projects d) Building strong relationships with key stakeholders at Esher RFC e) Monitoring and evaluating coach delivery providing upskilling of coaches as required f) Produce a monthly P&L and operational reporting g) Oversee community match day entertainment and engagement h) Support and help drive the social media strategy j) Produce a monthly newsletter detailing key activities k) Identify sponsorship opportunities l) work with the CG bid team to identify and win funding opportunities

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) Minimum coaching qualification being Rugby Coaching Award (Level 2) b) A recognised First Aid Qualification c) Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding within schools and leisure organisations. e) Experience of coaching young players f) An appreciation and experience of mentoring and developing other coaches. g) An understanding of the National Curriculum for Physical Education and current teaching/coaching policies h) Willingness to work weekends when required
