Got the bow out yet? The early archery season is just around the cor- ner. Good practice is the basis of good bowhunting. It’s like coach always told you, “You play like you practice.” Some think that bow tuning should be the first step toward a new archery season. Not so. First get the rust off your shooting form. It is highly probable that some per- ceived mechanical flaw with your equipment is actually a fault induced by your out-of-practice form. Start out with frequent but short sessions. You have to get your mus- cles re-toned just like your reflexes. Just a few shots a day, several days a week is the best approach. Don’t be too quick to re-tune or re-sight your bow unless something is obviously wrong.
