22nd March 2019 Grange Academy Supports Comic Relief Friday 15th March 2019 was Comic Relief Day. Grange Academy supported this worthwhile cause with style. Students came into school in mufti for a £1 donation. The afternoon was great fun. Staff gave students a fantastic afternoon of music and fun. Staff lip-synced to Abba (Dancing Queen), Village People (YMCA) and (Spice up Your Life). The students then voted with the largest cheers and claps. The winners were!! Spice Girls who performed again to an excited audience. Students also had the opportunity to vote for Jelly Wellies at 20p a go. They were voting for Miss Assink, Mrs Morris or Mrs Thomas to wear boots filled with jelly. Miss Assink was the winner, or maybe not!! The afternoon was a lot of fun. Thank you to Alfie’s mum (S2) for making such a fantastic red nose cake. It was delicious. The total raised on the day was £225.36.
