SYNOPSIS

It looks like a long hot summer for high school junior, Beetle and his homies, Joker and Sharky. Confronted by the doldrums of another summer in their urban Los Angeles neighborhood, Beetle’s friends make it their mission to help Beetle become a man before his senior year. But Beetle has his eye on Felicia, a classmate that lives in the same neighborhood.

After Beetle blows it with Felicia his fears that he may have missed his last chance for manhood get the best of him. Beetle, Joker and Sharky decide on one last gambit.

There is a place shrouded in rumor and myth, a secret place that lays hidden deep in the shadows of the industrial streets of their hood, “Lola’s Love Shack” an underground brothel that has been operating in secret for generations.

In the course of their adventures Beetle, Joker and Sharky must confont Sharky’s baseball coach, do hard labor with immigrant day workers, resist recruitment by the neighborhood gang and elude an enraged cop with a vendetta.

Is Lola’s Love Shack the answer to their prayers? Does it really exist? Will they have to see a doctor?

All they know is that it’s going to take a lot of guts, money and some fake ID’s because Lola’s Love Shack is their last stop for losing it.
