The ASQR 4.6-9 defines the requirements and the process for obtaining a A220 Authorized Category 8 Inspector approval. The document describes the approval requirements with regards to knowledge, experience, training, scope of responsibility, privilege, limitations, and records. The document may be amended when required, by the Quality Assurance Department. Amendments to the document are indicated with a vertical line in the left margin of the page. It is essential that the Authorized Category 8 Inspector fully understands the requirements of this document and any associated technical documents. By issuing this document, A220 makes or gives no representation, warranties or guarantees whatsoever. In particular, A220 in no way represents warrants or guarantees that the Supplier, by complying with all the requirements contained herein, complies with all the requirements with which he needs to comply.

2.0 Responsibilities and Limitations The Supplier Category 8 Authorized Inspector: - within a Supplier manufacturing environment – shall perform conformity certification of newly manufactured aeronautical components and kits on behalf of ACLP when it has been determined to conform to its approved design data; - within a dedicated Supplier distribution environment – shall perform certification of previously certified aeronautical products and kits on behalf of ACLP; - shall issue an Authorized Release Certificate - Form One on behalf of Airbus Canada Limited Partnership . The Supplier facility may

only supply certified products to A220 facilities. c 4.0 Experience Requirement e l E The candidate must have: - a minimum of 12 consecutive months of employment with the Supplier. The said period must immediately precede the approval request - Have 12 consecutive months in quality role in Supplier organization and meet his qualification requirements - reached “authorization to sign” status on behalf of the supplier; - practical experience with using of measuring and calibration equipment. - practical experience with using of engineering documentation and drawings

The A220 Head of Quality or an assigned Quality Assurance representative will: - review the application in accordance with the stated requirements in the CSALP Quality Manual and with those stated in table 1 of this document; - notify the Supplier Quality Director and the Authorized Inspector stating the definite Scope of Approval and effectiveness.
