Senior Memories By: Keelie Glory

My favorite senior memory would have to be taking Sierra Perdue to the dentist. I had so much fun watching her. She had to have a lot of laughing gas because if they do not do this, she can feel the pain. At first I stayed in the waiting room. She kept snapchatting me dumb pictures and videos. I told her to have someone come and get me so I could come back there with her. The lady stuck her head out of the room, so that I could see which one she was in. Long story short, she was very out of it, and I had to calm her down and drive her home.

Advice to New High School Freshmen By: Shealyn Harp

Know which friendships to cut and which ones to keep. High school is a lot easier when you’ve got the right friends with you. If the group of people that you’re hanging around with is one that will hold you back, it is not a good idea to stick with them. Make sure your friends don’t keep you from schoolwork and don’t distract you from your own goals and aspirations. Your friends should moti- vate you and keep you on the right path. Of course, it doesn’t always have to be about school. Make sure that your friends don’t make you feel down about yourself. Keep a group of friends that you can always have a great time with. Pick your battles. Drama is often the definition of high school. With so many cliques and labels, sometimes it’s a little too easy to make enemies. At the same time, there’s an easy way to avoid conflict: Walk away. Whether you’re about to be approached with a physical altercation or a verbal one, it’s never worth the trouble. It can end very badly, and making enemies can build a negative reputation for you. One might want to fit in and make a name for oneself, but creating conflicts with other people is never the way to go. Again, petty drama is never worth it. The issues you run into during your freshman year can follow you throughout the years to come. Make sure to follow your dreams, do not give up, is it worth giving up when you have went all this way to high school? Three more years will not hurt to accomplish getting your diploma and following your career.

Senior Trip By Madison LeFlore

Senior Trip was a very fun trip. It was a long, long day, but it was a lot of fun to go to Branson. I haven’t been to Branson in years, so it was a lot of fun to be able to go again. This was our last school trip just to think in like ten days, we will graduate. We got to go to the Dolly Parton Stampede, and I have never got to go before. It was a lot of fun to see all the animals I didn’t really ride anything at Silver Dollar City, but I did ride the train which was a lot of fun but mostly Sierra, Maverick and I went shopping and looked at all the different stores they have. We got to see the saloon show and got to see Mr Craig dance and dressed like a girl in the show. Honestly ,this was a really fun trip, and I am so glad that I went even though the walking really got to me. I can’t wait to really look back at the whole trip and laugh at all the stuff that happened. To every future senior, I recommend going on your senior trip because it's a lot of fun and plus its your last school trip you will ever go on with the school. Senior Memories By: Sierra Mahar

Senior Year By: Sierra Perdue

Senior year. It’s the year that every high school student looks forward to the most, right? You have the excitement of being at the top of the food chain, senior trip, and graduating. But senior year is not what it is all cut out to be. There are so many things that you have to do. Apply to colleges, figure out your financial aid, apply for scholarships and write essays for all of them, and waiting to see if you got accepted into the college of your dreams, or waiting to see if you got the scholarship that you applied for. My advice to the lower classmen would be to enjoy your high school years. Be responsible with your grades and what you choose to do, but also have fun. Don’t stress yet. Save that for your senior year. When senior year rolls around, apply to colleges right away, and those scholarships too. But don’t overload yourself with stress. Try to relax and have the most fun you can you have in the last year of high school.

~ Don’t goof off. Stay focused on your grades because they are important still.

~ Your senior year will fly by and the end of the year will seem really busy.

~ Stay kind and you’ll get it in return.

~ It’s okay to still dress like a slob sometimes. It isn’t a crime.

After Graduation By: Morgan Shaw Dear Fellow Classmates,

As we go our own ways after Graduation on, Friday, May 11, 2018. I ask you to think about your life and whether that bottle containing “Adult Beverages” is actually worth it. If you decide on your own that it is worth consuming, please have a Designated Driver who has not been con- suming the beverages to drive you home. If you get behind the wheel of a car under the influ- ence, you are not only putting your life in danger, but the life of other people. So before you go out and party, THINK ABOUT OURS LIVES BEFORE YOUR OWN SELF NEED TO BECOME “Lit”

What It's Like To Be a Senior By: Abby Smith Have you wondered what it would be like to be a senior? If you have then I’m here to give you a little insight to what it's like. During your senior year, you don't have to take as many classes as you have had to take. In fact, you get to arrange your schedule the way you would like to, so it really depends on if you want a laid back senior year or if you want to prepare yourself for college. Speaking of college, that’s where senior year got a little stressful, for me at least. Trying to find the college you want to go to, applying for scholarships, visiting various colleges, and applying for those colleges, and then finally deciding on a college and enrolling. It all can be stressful, but don't let that bother you. Senior year can be fun if you make it fun. With senior trip, prom, Having days off to visit a certain college, there may be a lot of times where you aren't in school. Even though being a senior comes with its perks, don't forget to make the most of your last year in high school.

Senior Opportunities By: Brooke Beason

Being a senior can be very stressful and scary at times, but there are also many fun and exciting opportunities. On Tuesday April 24, the awesome AG teachers cooked the FFA seniors steaks and baked potatoes for lunch. Also on that day, there was the academic all star banquet and many seniors were recognized for keeping good grades throughout high school and got scholarship money for that. We also have the sports banquet, FFA banquet, the last day of school, and graduation all in one week so there are many exciting opportunities to look forward to as seniors.

How Do You Shop: in store or online? By: Abby Smith

Today there are many options when it comes to shopping, you can order items online and have them shipped to you or you can go into the store. Which do you prefer? For me personally I prefer to go into the store if I’m shopping for clothes but if I’m just looking to buy one particular item then I like to buy it online because not only does it save you from having to get out and go to the store, but it also is more convenient to just buy that item online and have it shipped to your house. Many people have different opinions some prefer to go into the stores because they like to look around and shop while others prefer to just buy the items they are looking for and get it over with so which do you prefer?

We all know that every guy anyone knows either has played Fortnite or still does. Do you ever wonder how many of these guys have girlfriends? Well to answer your suspicions, quite a few girls do. Easy Things to Do to Prepare for College/Life after High School By: Brooke Beason

Whether you plan to go to college after you graduate, or you plan to go straight into your work profession, here are a few things that can make you more prepared! Firstly, you will most likely have to go through an interview once, if not multiple times in your life. Some colleges will require interviews to be accepted, and many scholarships will. Almost any professional job you apply for will include an interview too. So start practicing interview questions in your spare time. Some questions may be “Why do you deserve this job?” “What are some of your strengths?” and even just “Tell us a little about yourself.” so be prepared. Also, you will have to do public speaking at some point whether it be in the classroom or in an office, so you can get better by looking in the mirror and practicing what you would say. Make sure you are also practicing respect for authority while in school so once you get to your workplace you won’t get fired for your attitude. Just practice now, being the person that you will be proud to look back on and it will make it easier for your future self.
