The University of Alabama is experiencing one of the most excitingtimes in its history. Words like champion, integrity, tradition and pride are synonymous when talking about UA. This year, UA reported a record enrollmentof 33,602 students. That's up 5.8%o from last fall. The immensely successful football program certainly plays a large paft in the changes at UA, and leremiah Castille Foundation is proud to be a part of that change. Jeremiah is committed to the University of Alabama.

feremiah is serving as the chaplain of the UA football team for the eleventh year. At the season opener in Dallas, he reported a record number of coaches and players attending chapel before the Alabama vs Michigan game. Attendance has steadily grown and feremiah says that you can see the change in the locker room. While fans witness the success on the field, very few have insight about what goes on in the locker room. feremiah has seen this change first hand and is thankful that God uses him to bring change to and inspire those attending his alma-mater. Players are fully engaged in feremiah's message in the locker room and can be found on Twitter talking about his motivational messages or sharing his daily tweets. This remains true even for former players who still look to feremiah for inspiration.

With the support of donors, ]eremiah is currently spending Tuesdays in Tuscaloosa. feremiah takes his message beyond the locker room to Dunamis, the on- campus student organization that aims to connect students with the power of God's word.

This newsletter focuses on the University of Alabama. Aside from UA being feremiah's alma mater, it is also the alma mater and educational institution for his children. Danielle, feremiah and fean's youngest child, enrolled this fall and Caleb 3rd Quarter 2012 Newsletter

Alabama Tradition Remains In Castille Family

feremiah had the privilege of being a part of the University of Alabama football team at grand time in its football history. Coached bythe great Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant Jeremiah was a part of the 1979 National Championship team. The tradition continued with his three sons. Tim Castille, his oldest child, was a fullback under coach and former Alabama , Mike Shula (2003-06). Simeon followed in his brother and father's footsteps and came to Alabama as well. Ironically, during his recruitment, Simeon felt a slight pull to LSU because of head coach . Coach Saban became Alabama's head coach during Simeon's senior year. The youngest son, Caleb, is a member of the most recent National Championship teams (2009 and 2011), which were won under Coach Saban.

After three seasons in the NFL, Tim has returned to UA as a graduate assistant. While at Alabama, he playedin 44 games, ran 161 times for 533 yards and made 21 touchdowns. In 2007, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the and later played two seasons with the . In his three pro seasons, he played in 31 games, four as a starter. While working as a graduate assistant, Tim is pursuing his degree in Communications. 3rd Quarter 2012 Newsletter

Dunan:is

It's the start of another exciting year for Dunamis Campus Ministries! School has started back, football is in the air and people on the campus of UA need to hear the gospel of fesus Christ That's why Coach Castille has committed yet another year to come to Tuscaloosa on a weekly basis to teach us about leadership. He will be leading us through a teaching by fohn Maxwell so thatwe can learn to become leaders in our homes, in the marketplaces and in our churches. Our goal is to let ourselves be bolstered in our walk with the Lord so that we can affect others. With this goal, we are taking Dunamis to the streets. This semester, Dunamis is dedicated to reaching out to those in need. One of our community outreach projects is helping a 91-year-old widow named Ms. Rose. She was first encountered fthen 90-years- old) carrying a wheelbarrow full of logs and debris after the tornado last year. She is full of life and loves having us help with her yard work or just keeping her company for a while. We are also partnering with local churches to minister to marginalized communities by serving meals, playing with kids and lending an ear or sometimes a shoulder, showing them that someone genuinely cares. We've never been more

excited for what f esus has in store for this year and we are forever grateful for having Coach to spur us on to love and good deeds.

Matthew 25:40 states, "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.ttt

__ Bags of Hope ru Start Some Good Bags of Hope

Bags of Hope begin in 2008 as a program of feremiah Castille Foundation (|CF) in service to students in Alabama. Our vision to inves! influence, impact and inspire young lives so they may rebuild and restore generations is realized in this program. Bags of Hope is a book bag and school supply give-a-way that allows students to be prepared for school with the necessary supplies that families often find difficult to purchase. Bags of Hope gives students a sense of pride, knowing that they have the tools needed to accomplish the educational task before them. Since the inception of this program fCF has reached approximately 1",200 students and with your support those numbers will increase to 1,800.

This year, feremiah Castille Foundation is pleased to announce their partnership with Alabama Forever, a likeminded organization looking to impact the citizens of Alabama. Alabama Forever was founded in response to the devastating April27, z}ll,tornadoes that ravaged the state of Alabama. Aside from disaster reliel the core purpose of Alabama Forever is to help Alabama communities in need. Alabama Forever has made the commitment to assist the residents and communities by offering viable resolutions to maintain the best possible life for the citizens of Alabama for generations to come.

The cooperation of these two organizations can lead to an even bigger and better Bags of Hope in20t2 and beyond. We have chosen two worthy schools for our 20!2 program, Alberta Elementary in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Hillview Elementary in Birmingham, Alabama. Together we will provide 600 students with book bags filled with school supplies.

UPON REACHING OUR TIPPING POINT WE WILL BE ABLE TO: . Provide supplies to 600 students for the school year . Relieve the burden of purchasing school supplies for struggling families . Give hope to hundreds of children who might otherwise feel defeated in their socioeconomic situations . Reduce the number of drop outs and impact a future generations.

"Bags of Hope" costs $10.00 per student. Please join us in our efforts to serve the these worthy schools by sponsoring one or more students. Your tax deductible contribution may be mailed to: 3rd Quarte r 2012 Newsletter

Stille Moments -+,fl

A Quiet Time with God Written by:

Calling All Leaders

Dear |CF Partners,

I want to take a moment and share a few thoughts with you that I shared with the University of Alabama football team at the beginning of football camp this season. As I thought about the upcoming}At? football season and the opportunity for 3rd Quarter 2012 Newsletter

the football team to secure another National Championship, my mind quickly took me back to 1980. In 1980 I was a Sophomore and had played and lettered on the 1979 National Championship team. The 1980 season presented a rare opportunity for some of the players on the team. That team had an opportunity to win three National Championships in a row! That was football dominance by the Legendary Coach Bryant in the latteryears of his career!

I had earned the starting position atleft cornerback in my freshman spring practice. Man, was I excited aboutthe opportunity to win a 2nd National Championship ring! The 1980 season was a disappointment, to say the least. We finished the season 10- 2. The difference between thet979 team and the 1980 team was a lack of Leadership. The impact players on the 1980 team did not realize their leadership potential. When I look back as one of the leaders on that team, these are some of the Ieadership qualities we lacked as a whole.

1) LOVE - having a true love for the game 2J EXCELLENCE - excelling at being excellent 3) ATTITUDE- positive at all times 4) DISCIPLINE- doing the work when we didn't feel motivated 5J ENCOURAGER- having the ability to lift people up

A LEADER has to love what he does. He has to EXCEL at it with a POSITIVE attitude. A LEADER is willing to DISCIPLINE himself and ENCOURAGE others in the process. Most importantly, a LEADER must think the RIGHT thoughts about his endeavors.

My prayer is thatyou will continue to be blessed and well throughout the remainder of this wonderful year. And remember God Is Absolutely Good AII the Time.
