Parkland Health System New Hospital Dallas, Texas

Our firm is the prime structural engineer for the new $740 Million replacement hospital. Design began in 2009 encompassing a 1.7 million square foot campus that features a 17-story main hospital building with 862 patient rooms. The complex is designed to be visitor and staff-friendly, with clear pathways, multi-level parking, private patient rooms and a wellness park accessible through the hospital itself. The hospital and attached Women’s and Infants Specialty Hospital incorporates evidenced based design and has a goal of LEED Silver Certification. This landmark medical campus will serve the community for decades into the future

Houston General Hospital Houston, Texas

This project is a three-story, 79,800 square foot full service regional hospital featuring 58 inpatient beds, twelve ER treatment rooms, and three operating rooms. The first floor consists of administrative offices, outpatient areas, imaging, and other services. The second and third floors house the inpatient rooms and additional offices.

Baylor - Gaston MOB New Medical Office Building Dallas, Texas

This 12 story 750,000 sf building will consist of 175,000 sf of medical office and six levels of above grade parking. It will also include a pharmacy, optometry, physical therapy, radiology and a sleep center. MedProvider will be the anchor tenant occupying the top two floors. The total construction is estimated at $52 Million.

Seton Family of Hospitals- Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital Relocation and Expansion Austin, Texas

Our firm provided structural engineering design on the 59,000-square-foot facility allowing the hospital to expand from 20 beds to 50. The facility features the latest in rehabilitative technology, a therapy pool and specialized programs for patients with complex physical and cognitive needs in more than 6,000 square feet subdivided into three gyms. This facility is located in a popular Triangle district of Austin between North Lamar and West Guadalupe Street. The area is bustling with retail, restaurants and multi-family.

Baylor Orthopedic and Spine Hospital of Arlington New Hospital Arlington, Texas

AG&E-SE provided structural engineering design for Baylor Orthopedic and Spine Hospital of Arlington (BOSHA), a free-standing hospital joint venture between Baylor Healthcare System, USPI and Arlington Orthopedic Associates. It consists of 55,000 square feet of surgical specialties in orthopedics, spine, sports medicine and pain management. The original facility is designed for 6 OR’s and 24 private patient rooms, but can be easily expanded to 8 OR’s and 40 private patient rooms in the future. A full service diagnostic department includes MRI, CT scan and X-Ray/R&F modalities to support the facility.

Prevarian Cornerstone- Long Term Acute Care Hospitals New Hospitals Austin & Round Rock, Texas

Our firm was contacted to design two new 50,000+ square feet long term acute care hospitals located in Austin and Round Rock, Texas. The two level hospitals provides both inpatient and outpatient services. The first floor houses the administrative offices, dietary services, outpatient areas and other support services. The second and third floors are for inpatient activity areas and social spaces. There are a total of 48 beds with each floor housing two wings to separate the different patient types.

Combined Construction Cost: $24 Million Status: Completed 2012 & 2013

Oasis Hospital-Southwest Orthopedic and Spine Hospital New Hospital Phoenix, Arizona

The 96,000 square foot Orthopedic and Spine inpatient surgical hospital consists of 64 private rooms, 4 ICUs, 8 ORs, 9 PreOps, 15 PACUs, Radiology; equipped with a Central Plant and 1000KW EPS. The full-service specialty hospital is outfitted with a full kitchen with cafeteria, coffee bar, terrazzo flooring, two-story lobby with full glass curtain-wall, stone and metal panels.

USMD Arlington Cancer Center Expansion and Renovation Arlington, Texas

This project consisted of the renovation of 11,000 SF and an expansion of 5,000 SF to the USMD Hospital in Arlington, TX. The expansion consisted of a structural concrete frame on top of 90’ piers and a radiation vault with high density concrete. The two linear accelerator vaults were constructed with both concrete and lead block walls. This project was located at the front of the hospital, requiring special care to protect hospital patients and visitors and temporary relocation of primary services.

USMD Willowbrook Cancer Center Expansion Houston, Texas

The interior build out included an 1,100 sf new addition to the existing USMD Cancer Center at Willowbrook in Houston, Texas. The linear accelerator vault had walls up to six feet thick and were constructed of both lead block and concrete.

Seton Cancer Center- Hays Medical Office Building New Facility Kyle, Texas

This project was a 103,000 square foot, four-level facility located outside of Austin in Kyle, Texas. The facility was designed to house a 14,000 square foot ambulatory surgery center on the first floor as well as a cancer treatment center. An EIFS skin was utilized to complement an existing adjacent hospital. Many of the interior finishes and fixtures were chosen for their sustainable features. This project was certified LEED Silver.

Chicago Cancer Center Expansion and Renovation Chicago, Illinois

Radiation Therapy Clinic of approximately 7,500 SF, located in Wilmette, Illinois. The project consists of renovations to the existing first floor, the addition of a concrete or modular vault for a linear accelerator, and patient drop-off canopy at the existing main entry.
