Head L to wall and keep beside Descend track, winding L to it, R, to narrow road walked hidden stile on to access track 4 9km/5½ miles earlier. Turn L, go on past stone to Low Nest. Turn R to A591. Opposite centre go through circle and continue for 1.3km to stile and climb sturdy rounded join A591 coming in on R. Cross, 3 7.3km/4½ miles Low Rigg, 250m. Pause on go on, wind round R for several Bear L and 25m along climb summit to enjoy superb view steps. Descend R before Travis stile into pasture. Follow wall of Blencathra and, below, Perkins works. Descend steps on L and wind down to gate in exquisite Tewet Tarn. Drop to railway track. Pass under bottom L corner to join wide down to latter. Just beyond road bridge and cross high track.
