2017 Annual Report 1 Dear Neighbors:

When children face health and hunger issues, it robs them of the simple joys of childhood. At the Joy in Childhood ®, our goal is to help kids feel like kids, even on their most difficult days.

Whether it’s sending kids home from school with food-filled backpacks or giving young patients superhero hospital gowns to remind them of their strength, we know that every moment matters. In 2017, we had lots of great moments. A few that stand out include:

• $5.3 million given to over 200 organizations focused on children’s health and hunger relief • 351,455 meals packed for children and families and 4,604 hours volunteered during the Week of Joy • 10,000 Starlight Gowns delivered to children in local hospitals

Within this report, you will find many more examples of the defining moments that contributed to the impact our Foundation is having across the country. Most importantly, you will be reminded that every grant, every volunteer hour and every dollar raised collectively brought joy to kids when they needed it most.

To all our franchise partners, employees, corporate donors and customers, thank you for supporting us every step of the way and being part of this joy filled work. OUR MISSION: With joy, Bringing joy to kids battling hunger or illness.
