Proudly we have been honoured with Club of the Year for our Far North Coast Branch for the past 3 years in a row.

We are a Level 3 Good Sports Club and are an accredited SLS NSW Silver Quality Club.

We are a great movement and a great Surf Life Saving Club, which is part of a great Australian movement, with traditional values, on a magnificent beach.

We enjoy a wonderful relationship with our local Surf Life Saving Clubs Fingal, Salt and Cabarita. With our working knowledge, our members support local SLS Clubs with water safety, and numerous officials. We are the creators and managers of the multi- club winter Inflatable Rescue Boat skills development program – ALBERT

We are progressively developing new events on our beach including the triathlon twice per year and the outriggers regatta whilst also providing support for many community events such as the Australian Longboard Association and are in the initial stages of joining with Kayak to provide a stepping stone for our members to the Olympics. We also host and provide skill training to the Army, Danish Students and a Japanese swim school on our beach. Each Australia Day we facilitate a clean-up program “Take 3 from the Sea” removing rubbish between the Bowls Club & the Creek.

All of these activities require a strong leadership team and significant financial resources. Our Old Boys Association and Cudgen Headland SLSC has been our Food and Beverage operation also selected to host the IRB Australian fundraises for our club’s programs. The Cudgen Headland Surf Life Saving Club seeks supporting partners to assist us in achieving our fundraising goals this season and into our future OUR MISSION

To strive to be the premier Surf Life Saving Club which provides excellence in everything we do.

Patrolling • Renew vinyl cover & Upgrade Patrol Arena • Floatation life jackets for IRB Drivers & Crew • 4 x Rescue tubes • 1 x new Defibrillator Surf Life Saving Development • Double decker IRB rescue craft trailer • IRB Storage stacking system • Training Manikin set (Laerdal family) Team Cudgen • Support - Team Cudgen Competitor apparel for 2019 Equipment • Gym upgrade • 10 Ski Paddles Representatives of Cudgen • Financial support to cover fees for Development Programs and Representative Teams for our future lifesavers North Coast IRB Racing Team • Training, coaching and equipment for our new IRB Racing team Building Redevelopment Fund • A new “Master Plan” for the redevelopment of the Clubhouse is being prepared which will incorporate additional facilities and enhance potential future revenue activities for our club. This will accommodate the club’s growth and extend our services provided to our members and the community of Kingscliff. A DA shall be lodged with Council for staged future development which will assist us in our quest to obtain grant funding. The commercial F&B will strive to make as much profit as possible to allow this to happen, however support in this major endeavor is needed and would be welcome. Gold Card Members contributed many years ago for major capital works on the club and this is once again an opportunity to have input into freshening up the appeal of our aging clubhouse and ensuring its sustainability into the future OUR VISION To make Kingscliff Beach a safe and friendly environment for all visitors by applying world’s best practice in aquatic rescue and first aid, through the promotion of strong responsible community values whilst upholding the traditions and values of surf lifesaving through “Vigilance and Service”

The Cudgen Headland Surf Life Saving Club is situated in an AQUATIC unparalleled location for front line surf rescue and aquatic rescue support services. With the major redevelopment of the Kingscliff RESCUE foreshore the Clubhouse becomes a unique community asset in both CENTRE in terms of positioning and broader service offering to its membership. Lifesaving The final stage of its development for us is to become the lead emergency response, education and training surf club for the far north coast, linking services from Byron Bay to the Queensland 7 Days Per Week border and includes: 1. Redevelopment of expanded clubhouse to accommodate First Responders more training craft, rescue motor craft, service vehicles, drone operations and a lifeguard base. 2. Creek boathouse development for rescue motor craft (Jetski New Sports and jetboat), canoe, rowing training, and accommodation base. Development 3. All weather deep water access via the Cudgen Creek for launching of rescue craft. 4. Multiple land transit devices including new four-wheel drive Education to assist with coverage and assistance north to Fingal. 5. Multiple rescue craft in state of readiness on specially equipped trailers for emergency responders Community 6. Enhanced emergency callout capabilities in partnership with other Tweed Surf Living Clubs. 7. Increased coaching, training and sports programs to encourage pathways and opportunities for Youth Development both here and overseas
