AED Donation from KIWANIS

Pictured with Mrs. Ashford are Donna Leggett, Immediate Past President; Pam Morgan, District AED Coordinator; and Rick Haddad,

President of Cortana Kiwanis

Holy Family was blessed to have an AED donated to our school by the Kiwanis organization. Mrs. Ashford had the pleasure of meeting some of the individuals that made this possible for our school.

This is what Mrs. Pam Morgan had to share with us about this remarkable organization, “Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers, dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. Cortana Kiwanis is a local club and is part of the Louisiana- Mississippi-West Tennessee District. There are 14 Kiwanis clubs in the Baton Rouge area. The AED Project has been a major emphasis project for the past 12 years with the goal of placing AED’s in every school in the district. Almost 500 AED’s have been provided by Kiwanis Clubs, and there have been six lives saved by these AED’s. We are proud to protect the life of students, faculty, staff and anyone on the school campus.”
