CIRCLE OF TRUTH 2011: YEAR 11 STUDENTS FAREWELL Class of 2017

For many years, Burlington Danes has celebrated our Year 11 cohort as they transition into sixth form or a college of their choice.

The “Circle of Truth” has been an event that comes around annually, which sees our Year 11 students gather together as a collective before commencing their GCSE examinations.

Last week Friday was the day this event took place, and it was heart-warming to listen to the students – many of whom have been at the academy since Year 7. They spent some time wishing each other well in their future endeavours. More importantly, it was an opportunity to express their gratitude to the tutors who work so hard to ensure that every pupil has a fair and successful transition into sixth form.

There was lots of laughter and tears too as the event drew to a close. It was definitely a moment to cherish and one which we are certain will be remembered in BDA history.

We would now like to wish our cohort the best of luck as they begin their GCSE examinations, and we look forward to the big send-off as we have one last celebration at the annual Year 11 prom! 6 Newsletter 19th May 2017
