BRONCOS LOSE LATE LEAD IN 16‐14 LOSS TO BEARS

The Denver Broncos held a 14‐13 lead over the Chicago Bears after QB Joe Flacco threw a 7‐yard pass to WR Emmanuel Sanders with 31 seconds left and the duo connected again for a successful two‐point conversion. That represented just the second time in franchise history the Broncos attempted a two‐point conversion when trailing by one point with less than two minutes remaining.

* ‐ QB Joe Flacco completed his first 10 passes of the game with five different receivers recording a catch. Flacco (35‐of‐50, 292 yds., 1 TD, 1 INT) attempted 50 passes to represent their first time a Bronco attempted that many passes since QB Case Keenum (51) at N.Y. Jets (10/7/18). * ‐ Eight of the Broncos’ nine offensive possessions against the Bears reached opponent territory. Including Week 1, 14 of the Broncos’ 17 offensive possessions this season have crossed midfield. * ‐ S Justin Simmons totaled nine tackles (8 solo) and two passes defensed to represent the first Bronco to reach those two marks since ILB Todd Davis (10 TT, 2 PD) at Ari. (10/18/18). * ‐ Denver (3‐of‐3 on fourth downs) had the most fourth‐down conversions since posting five at San Francisco (12/9/18).
