Catalog number 041047-AP Supplier United States Biological

Guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), which can activate some, but not all, G-alpha . Able to activate GNAI1, GNAO1 and GNAQ, but not GNAS by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. Involved in regulation of microtubule pulling forces during mitotic movement of by stimulating G(i)-alpha protein, possibly leading to release G(i)-alpha-GTP and NuMA proteins from the NuMA-GPSM2-G(i)-alpha-GDP complex (By similarity). Also acts as an activator for G(q)-alpha (GNAQ) protein by enhancing the G(q)-coupled receptor-mediated ERK activation. Applications Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA Recommended Dilution ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Storage and Stability Store product at 4°C. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Immunogen RIC8A antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 242-271 amino acids from the Central region of human RIC8A.
