Island Health is seeking a casual Primary Care Nurse at the Port Alice Health Centre in Port Alice, BC.

PORT ALICE is located on beautiful Neroutsos Inlet, southwest of Port McNeill. About the Role

Working independently and participating as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, you will be responsible for direct patient/client care at Port Alice Health Centre, and the delivery of health promotion programs to individuals and groups in a variety of settings in the designated rural area. Nurses may be required to be on call and provide after-hours care for EOL patients.

Qualifications

You are a graduate from an approved nursing program with current practicing membership with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses' of British Columbia (CRPNBC) and have 3 years of recent related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

A Basic Life Support, Level C certificate is required, as is a valid BC driver’s license and the use of a personal vehicle.
