This Parish is located on the South East corner of Labrador, just off the Northern tip of the Island portion the Province. Clergy can drive to the parish by either taking the Trans-Labrador highway from Baie Comeau in or taking the Ferry from Saint Barbe in Newfoundland. Regularly scheduled air travel enables clergy to reach the parish through Goose Bay (six-hour drive) or Blanch Sablon (two-hour drive). Seven of the (ten) above communities can be reached by car over gravel roads. Three have no road connections and can only be covered by boat and/or light aircraft. During winter, it is possible to reach most of these communities by snowmobile. Since there is no cell phone coverage, the province provides satellite phones free of charge for those who are travelling over the Labrador Highway. They can be signed out in most communities.
