Since March of this year in response to the Corona virus emergency in the Amman Valley area, I set up a scheme aimed to provide hot meals and regular human contact for residents who were self-shielding. Part 3: School Governing Bodies

Ysgol Y Bedol

Section 4: Outside Body Representation

Section 5: Other Activities and Issues

This year I am the Chairman of Garnant Family Centre, working towards a new all- weather canopy in the community garden for children to play outside in bad weather all the year round with a cash injection of £9,000 from Betws Windfarm Community Benefit Fund.

In the last year I have been working with Cwmamman Town Council and Carmarthenshire County Council on transfer of play areas, other outdoor spaces and assets in the community over to the Town Council. This places ownership and control of these assets closer to the community they serve, now and into the future.

I am involved in the following organisations in the community, and have undertaken work with them over the last year:

• Chairman of Garnant Branch of Royal British Legion since 2003 • Poppy Secretary of the Garnant Branch Legion since 2011 • Chairman of Cwmamman Meals on Wheels since 1996 • Chairman and Trustee of Garnant Family Centre since 2000 • Member of Amman Valley Hospital League of Friends since 2008 • Chairman Amman Valley Hospital’s Action Committee since 2018 • Member of Garnant Church Governing Body and Church Warden since 2015 • Member of Cwmamman Town Council since 1979
