Participate in award-winning international research projects and teach at a leading private university as part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team. The university campus is located on Kahlenberg, a mountain with a panoramic view of the capital of Austria. Successful applicants will teach courses of the Undergraduate School of , which offers cutting-edge education in the areas of international management and tourism, including subjects such as:  Information and Communication Technology  E-Business and New Media Applications  Interactive Marketing The doctoral research will relate to one or more of the specializations of MU Vienna’s PhD program. The research projects of the Department of New Media Technology focus on Web intelligence, visual analytics and new forms of online communication and collaboration (www.decarbonet.eu, www.pheme.eu and www.ucomp.eu). The developed technologies helped to build state-of-the-art Web applications such as the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit (toolkit.climate.gov) and the Media Watch on Climate Change (www.ecoresearch.net/climate).

Essential qualifications o A completed Master or Diploma Degree (by September 2015) in information systems, computer science, business informatics, economic or social sciences, or related disciplines. o Excellent analytical skills and a proven ability to communicate research findings to selected audiences. Strong interest in gaining knowledge in the application of quantitative methods. o Excellent written and spoken English (German is not a requirement; English is the working language of MU Vienna).

Referring to the University call Ref. No. 20141228, two positions and scholarships are available as of September 2015 for a duration of four years. Successful candidates will be enrolled in MU’s PhD in Business and Socioeconomic Sciences and use about 50% of their working hours (40h per week) for their PhD studies. The starting salary is EUR 25,000 before taxes (the annual teaching load is two units à 45 minutes of weekly teaching). From the second year onwards, the salary increases to EUR 32,800 with an annual teaching load of six units per semester. Additional allowances are available; tuition for the PhD program (EUR 11,250 per year) is covered by MU Vienna.
