In 2012 8/3 @ WIS they won their first Midwest League Championship under the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers name. The franchise existed under various names 8/4 KC 8/5 KC from 1962 – 1996 and the Fox Cities team won the MWL in 1964 and 1966. The Appleton Foxes squad won titles in 1967, 1978 and three 8/6 KC consecutive titles from 1982-84. The Timber Rattlers are in their sixth season as a Milwaukee Brewers. Their past affiliations include 8/7 WIS Baltimore from 1962-65, the Chicago White Sox from 1966-86, Kansas City from 1982-92 and Seattle from 1993-2008. The Chiefs are 200- 8/8 WIS sp 8/9 WIS 205 all-time against the Foxes/Timber Rattlers. In their history, the Chiefs are 164-157 in the regular season and 2-0 in the playoffs against 8/10 WIS Brewers teams having faced them in Beloit from 1983-2004. 8/11 Off Day 8/12 @ BUR SEASON SERIES: The Chiefs and Rattlers will meet 18 times this season with 11 of the games being played in Peoria. So far this season the 8/13 @ BUR 8/14 @ BUR season series is tied 4-4. No opponent comes to Dozer Park more than Wisconsin who will visit May 15-18, August 7-20 and August 21-23. 8/15 @ CR Last season the Chiefs won the season series 11-6 going 5-2 in Appleton and 6-4 in Peoria with three walk off victories, two in extra innings. 8/16 @ CR In 2012 as they won the league, Wisconsin won the season series 11-8 with a 7-4 mark in Appleton. Wisconsin also won the 2011 season 8/17 @ CR series 8-7 including a 6-4 record in Peoria. In 2010 the Chiefs dominated the Rattlers 10-3 and are 40-34 vs. Wisconsin since they became a 8/18 BEL 8/19 BEL Milwaukee affiliate. 8/20 BEL 8/21 WIS OPPOSING STARTER: RH Taylor Williams makes his 12th start, 22nd appearance, tonight against the Chiefs. In his last start, Williams 8/22 WIS 8/23 WIS received a no decision against Fort Wayne on July 27. He allowed one unearned run off three hits, walked one, and struck out eight in four 8/24 @ CLI innings of work. Williams is currently 7-1 with a 2.52 ERA, 23 walks, and 101 strikeouts in 100 innings pitched. Williams made 12 8/25 @ CLI appearances, six starts, for the Helena Brewers in 2013. He went 3-1 with a 4.25 ERA. Williams struck out 42 batters and walked only 17 in 8/26 @ CLI 42 1/3 innings of work. The Milwaukee Brewers selected Williams in the fourth round of the 2013 draft out of Kent State University. 8/27 BEL 8/28 BEL Williams went 10-1 with a 2.47 ERA in his only year at Kent State; Williams was named First-Team All-MAC that year. Prior to Kent State, 8/29 BEL Williams attended Mt. Hood Community College in Oregon. Williams earned Conference South Division Player of the Year, All-Pacific 8/30 @ KC Association of Community College Baseball Division Third Team, and All-Conference First Team Utility Player of the Year all after one year 8/31 @ KC at Mt. Hood. Before Mt. Hood, Williams attended Washington St. University. Williams was named All-Region Player of the Year and First Team All-State as a senior at Camas HS (Camas, WA). Williams made his first start of the year against the Chiefs on Opening Day, April 3, THIS DAY IN CHIEFS HISTORY in which he gave up no runs on one hit, struck out seven, and walked one in five innings of work, receiving a no decision.
