The team finished with a record of 39-22-3-4 which was good for 85 points, the second most in franchise history. Highlighted by a record setting start to the season, the Barracuda saw themselves sitting atop the Pacific Division and the Western Conference at the All-Star Break and would later find themselves in the postseason for the fourth time in as many seasons. the Barracuda are the only team in the AHL’s Pacific Division to reach the playoffs in all four years of its existence. As the second overall seed in the Pacific Division, the Barracuda were matched up against rival San Diego Gulls in Round 1 of the Calder Cup Playoffs. After a tough luck loss in game 1 the Cuda bounced back and won game two on the road in convincing fashion. Unfortunately, the Barracuda’s dreams of a Calder Cup would fall short a few days later. Once again, the Barracuda were one of the youngest teams in the AHL. Over the course of the season, 22 rookies made their professional debuts for the Barracuda including Josef Korenar, Jayden Halbgewachs, Jeffrey Viel and Dylan Gambrell.
