1. INTRODUCTION
Coahuila is the third largest state in the country. Located in the North-East part of Mexico, Coahuila shares a 512 kilometer with the American State of Texas. In Mexico is next to the Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosi and Nuevo Leon States.

Location of Coahuila in North America.
Coahuila in numbers:
Represents 7.73% of the surface of the country. It has a population of 2’954,915 inhabitants; the 2.5% of the country’s total, the distribution is 90% urban and 10% rural. The schooling is 9.9 (almost first year of upper secondary education), a national average of 9.2. The activities of the sector that contribute the most to the state’s GDP are the manufacturing industries, highlighting the production of machinery and equipment. Finally, it brings the 3.4% to the national’s GDP.

The Central-Desert Region is made up of the municipalities of Abasolo, Candela, Castaños, Cuatro Cienegas, Escobedo, Frontera, Lamadrid, Monclova, Nadadores, Ocampo, Sacramento, San Buenaventura and Sierra Mojada. It is characterized by its metallurgical industry and by a large steel, iron and aluminum smelters, where the companies of Altos Hornos de México and Teksid Hierro de México (FIAT) are located.

The Central-Desert Region, has an International Airport “Venustiano Carranza”, located in the town of Frontera, which offers private flights and customs service for goods clearance.
An Aerodrome named the “Constitucionalista” is located in Cuatro Cienegas.

57 Federal Highway: it communicates with Piedras Negras, Sabinas and Saltillo, Coah.; San Luis Potosí, S.L.P.; Querétaro, Qro. and México, D.F.

30 Federal Highway: it communicates with San Pedro de las Colonias, Francisco I. Madero and Torreón, Coah.

4.3 Railroad
The Central-Desert Region has railway stations in the municipalities of Cuatro Cienegas, Escobedo, Frontera, Lamadrid, Castaños, Nadadores and Sierra Mojada. The stations are connected to the national railway network, thus having Access to the borders, ports and cities of the country..
In this Region the service is provided by private companies : Ferrocarril Mexicano (Ferromex) and Línea Coahuila Durango (LCD).

8.2 Magical Towns
A Magical Town is a locality that has a unique, symbolic attributes, authentic stories, transcendent facts, daily life, which means a great opportunity for tourist use, taking special attention to the motivations and needs of the travelers.
Candela, Coahuila.
It represents an adventure to discover an extensive heritage where the petroglyphs, rock art, nature, gastronomy and hospitality of its people are interspersed with a past that defines it as a fundamental place in the roots of the entity. Its symbolic attraction is the eco tourist corridor, the Carricitos, the Lajitas, Agua Caliente, and the Frenton where the visitor can admire the diversity of the Magical Town.
In 2015, after the management of the Magical Town Committee, Municipal and State authorities, as well as the evaluation of the Federal Tourism Secretariat, Candela received the name of Magical Town. This appointment has favored the economic development of the town and the improvement in the quality of life.

Its claims its name due to two particular circumstances: the presence of numerous bodies of water located in a dessert valley, as well as being the birthplace of Venustiano Carranza; and since 2012 it has been the second Magic Town of Coahuila. It has great relevance of a scientific and natural nature. In the same way, it is important to highlight its historical notability, which is preserved in its urban image, layout, streets, and several buildings that are part of its historical, architectural and cultural heritage.
