WEEKLY “NOTES & NUGGETS” FROM THE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME NEW ARTIFACTS ARRIVE AT THE HALL; ANTHONY MUÑOZ TAKES PART IN HEART OF A HALL OF FAMER PROGRAM; FROM THE ARCHIVES: HIGHEST SCORING GAMES IN NFL HISTORY

CANTON, OHIO – The following is a sampling of events, happenings and notes that highlight how the Pro Football Hall of Fame serves its important mission to “Honor the Heroes of the Game, Preserve its History, Promote its Values & Celebrate Excellence EVERYWHERE!”

NEW ARTIFACTS FROM THE 2019 NFL SEASON ARRIVE AT THE HALL The Pro Football Hall of Fame is home to the world’s largest collection on pro football in the world. Each year, the collection in the Ralph Wilson, Jr. Pro Football Research & Preservation Center grows as artifacts from milestone moments from the current NFL season arrive in Canton.

This week, the Hall received the following artifacts:

• DeShaun Watson’s cleats (top right) from Sunday, Oct. 6 when he when he became the first player in NFL history to pass for at least 400 yards and five with five-or-fewer incompletions in a game. • Larry Fitzgerald’s gloves (bottom left) worn on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019 when he surpassed Pro Football Hall of Famer TONY GONZALEZ to become second on the NFL’s all-time career receptions list with 1,326 career receptions. The Hall also received the football (bottom right) Fitzgerald caught to tie Gonzalez earlier in the game.

The artifacts are now on display in the Hall’s Pro Football Today Gallery.

September 16-19, 2020 A once-in-every- other-lifetime celebration to kick off the NFL’s next century in the city where the league was born.

Fans can go to www.ProFootballHOF.com/visit to plan a visit to the Hall. The Museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ANTHONY MUÑOZ TOOK PART IN THE HEART OF A HALL OF FAMER PROGRAM The Heart of a Hall of Famer series, powered by Extreme Networks, provides students the opportunity to learn first-hand what it took beyond athletic ability for legendary Heroes of the Game to achieve success on and off the field. The program focuses on the Hall of Fame’s core values of commitment, integrity, courage, respect and excellence.

On Tuesday, ANTHONY MUÑOZ took part in a Heart of a Hall of Famer program hosted at McKinley High School located adjacent to the Hall of Fame. More than 450 students participated from: • AIM Academy (Canton, Ohio) • Austintown (Ohio) Fitch High School • Coventry High School (Akron, Ohio) • East Canton (Ohio) High School • GlenOak High School (Canton, Ohio) • Heritage Christian School (Canton, Ohio) • Kenmore Garfield High School (Akron, Ohio) • Martin Luther King Jr. High School (Cleveland, Ohio) • McDonald (Ohio) High School • McKinley High School (Canton, Ohio) • St. Mary Middle School (Massillon, Ohio) • Windham (Ohio) High School

“The words that come to my mind: a servant leader, a servant teammate, making sure that you take care of your teammates before yourself,” Muñoz shared with the students. “Take care of your family members before yourself and let them know you are there for them whenever they need you – I think that’s the case for your teammates… I need to make my family members know that I am there if need me and I think as a teammate that is what you have to do – be there for your team.”

PRO FOOTBALL RESEARCH & PRESERVATION CENTER: The Ralph Wilson, Jr. Pro Football Research & Preservation Center is home to the world’s largest collection on football including a personal legacy archive on every player who has competed in the NFL since its founding in 1920. Contained inside the archives are more than 40 million pages of documents and six million photographic images.

Staff help a variety of patrons from fans, researchers, authors, and students as well as serving as a resource of information to the , its 32 clubs and members of the media.

TOP FIVE HIGHEST SCORING GAMES IN NFL HISTORY The highest scoring game in NFL history took place on Nov. 27, 1966 when the Washington Redskins defeated the 72-41 for a combined 113 points. Hall of Famer had six catches for 124 yards and two TDs including a 74-yarder from Hall of Fame . Brig Owens returned a fumble recovery 62 yards for a and an 60 yards for a score.
