Vladimir Markovic, the John D. MacArthur Professor of Mathematics at Caltech, has been named a fellow of Great Britain’s Royal Society. He is one of 50 new fellows and 10 foreign members elected in 2014. Markovic’s election brings to seven the number of fellows and foreign members of the Royal Society currently on the Caltech faculty. Membership in the Royal Society is bestowed each year on a small number of the world’s scientists.
