UAPD PHOTOSHOP WORKSHOP – BASIC LECTURE

The UAP Diliman Chapter organized a 3-day lecture series of Adobe Photoshop Workshop for all interested students and professionals. The first day of the said workshop which catered the basic lectures took place at the Museum of Filipino Architecture (MOFA), College of Architecture in University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City last September 10, 2016, Saturday. This was attended by Diliman officers namely Pres. Karen Ang, VP-Planning Camille Jusi, VP Ops Mark Lingan, Secretary Cristina Subala, Sports Director Aren Santos and Accessibility Director Irwin Dizon. District Director Area A4 Florencio Sebastian III also participated on the said event. The workshop started at 1pm and was adjourned at 6pm.

The said article featured the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and its consulting architect Gerard Lico regarding the variety of cut-out paper architectural models that could be acquired by the public from the agency’s website.

UAP Diliman Chapter celebrated their 3rd GMM last September 15, 2016 (Thursday), 7pm at the Amici Restaurant in Connecticut, Greenhills, Quezon City. The event started through a short product presentation from Carlson Liu of C & S. Representatives from JEA Steel also took participation as they highlighted their latest products. And for the highlight of the night, a presentation featuring the works and influences of National Artist Pablo S. Antonio was presented by special guest Luigi Antonio, grandson of the late Pablo Antonio. This night event was attended by a total of 59 Diliman officers, members and business partners. ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE CONSERVATION FIELDWORK

UAP Diliman Vice President – Operations Mark Lingan participated at the Architectural Heritage Conservation Fieldwork held in Cebu last September 16-19, 2016. The said activity was in compliance with the requirement on the Master’s degree taken by Ar. Lingan. They were tasked to document the 1730 Jesuit house wherein they studied its history and made an as-found plan of the said heritage structure. Ar. Lingan also shared his personal experience that a component of their activity was to record every bit of detail that they would notice to serve as basis of the owner of the house for conservation.
