HOSPITALITY INFORMATION MARCH 10-15, 2020 | TPC SAWGRASS | THE PLAYERS STADIUM COURSE | PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL THEPLAYERSHOSPITALITY.COM 2020

Dear Partners,

On behalf of our tournament staff, we thank you for your support of THE PLAYERS Championship. From its very inception, THE PLAYERS was designed to, and has drawn national and international attention to our region and visitors from all over the world. THE PLAYERS 2019 debuted significant changes – a new trophy, new branding, upgraded fan amenities including the Welcome Experience, and the most dramatic – the move to March, all of which furthers the tournament’s position as the global showcase for Northeast Florida.

THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass is home to the most recognized hole in and a global destination for golf and sport enthusiasts. THE PLAYERS is an important gathering place for our partners to entertain prospects, clients and associates. The fan-friendly set-up of TPC Sawgrass, the history and tradition of the tournament, and the best golfers in the world on display assure the ultimate experience for you and your guests.

The 2019 tournament generated a record level of funds for local charities. The funds generated by THE PLAYERS each year benefit more than 300 charities throughout Northeast Florida, totaling over $100 million in charity giving since it began in 1974 and moved to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1977. Through your continued support, we are able to continue the tradition of giving back as we showcase our area to the world.

Please take the time to review the information in this manual as it contains helpful details to ensure your hosting program at THE PLAYERS 2020 is delivered effectively to your guests.

We look forward to seeing you in March.

Sincerely,

Jared Rice, Vice President and Executive Director CHAMPIONSHIP STAFF

THE GOLD STANDARD

The Strongest Field THE PLAYERS is designed to showcase the greatest golfers on the planet. No amateurs or exemptions, the 144-player field represents the strongest collection of players assembled each season. The competitor who hoists THE PLAYERS trophy knows that he has beaten the very best and cemented his place in history as a champion.

The Purest Test Pete Dye’s masterpiece – THE PLAYERS Stadium Course – favors no one, while demanding excellence from all. To triumph, the world’s best must bring a well- rounded game and execute under the very definition of pressure. The course tests every facet of the game and every club in the bag. Each hole has elements of risk, reward, drama and excitement. Visually intimidating, every shot requires precision, creativity and commitment. Great shots are rewarded, mistakes punished, and flaws magnified.

The Defining Moment A mere 137-yard shot is an unlikely start to the most recognized hole in golf. But the diabolical amphitheater that combines water, wind and intense pressure makes it the centerpiece of THE PLAYERS Stadium Course. Anticipation and suspense build throughout the day and culminate on that lonely walk from 16th green to 17th tee. One swing for the island green can crush aspirations or cement a championship. It is this decisive moment when players measure themselves against the best while huge galleries gather to witness history.

The Ultimate Experience THE PLAYERS Championship was the first tournament conceived with the fan as its focal point. Viewing mounds were built into the original design, allowing spectators to see every hole while ensuring that they are in the middle of all the excitement and drama. THE PLAYERS continues to lead in embracing change to deliver the best experience in the modern game. Whether a spectator is there to watch the world’s best players or simply to enjoy all the amenities, THE PLAYERS Championship provides the highest expression of hospitality and entertainment and should be on every sports fan’s bucket list. King & Bear - World Golf Village The only collaboration between golf’s greatest legends, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, the King & Bear is set among pristine lakes, beautiful Loblolly pines, and stately oak trees. The King & Bear is located in St. Augustine, just a short drive from TPC Sawgrass. Each hole contains characteristics of both players to create a unique golf course. Measuring 7,279 yards from the stone tees and 5,119 yards from the green tees, this course is sure to challenge the skilled golfer while providing player- friendly conditions for the novice. This is a driver’s course, which should come as no surprise as both Palmer and Nicklaus wielded awesome power games in their primes. You’ll also experience the wide fairways of Nicklaus and the fast greens of Palmer. So enamored of the course he helped design, Arnold Palmer selected hole number 15 as one of his “Dream 18” in Sports Illustrated’s Preview to the 2006.
