COMMUNITY BENEFIT

Sam Mayes Community Relations Coordinator, RES LOCAL ELECTRICITY DISCOUNT SCHEME (LEDS)

• LEDS has been developed in response to feedback from local communities

• Offers residential, community and business properties closest to RES’ Jacks’ Lane Wind Farm an annual discount of £117 off their electricity bills

• Discounts paid directly to the electricity supplier will commence once the wind farm is operational

• No requirement to change electricity supplier or tariff LEDS QUALIFYING AREA

The Qualifying Area for each RES LEDS scheme is calculated by taking a straight line distance - the Set Distance - from each wind turbine and identifying all the postcode geographic boundaries (as defined by Ordnance Survey) with properties located within this Set Distance.

The Set Distance is chosen so that the number of properties that fall within the Qualifying Area will receive a discount of at least £100 per year.
