2.0 INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT/ BACKGROUND INFORMATION 2.1 Identification of Project and Project Proponent The project proponent Jogendra Singh S/o Brahma Singh is holding a n existing mining Lease of Masonry Stone over an area of 1.0 ha. near village Khatipura, Tehsil - Khetri, District- Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan ) with an annual production capacity of 1,07,335 TPA (ROM) . The details of the project proponent and project are given below:

Name of the applicant Jogendra Singh S/o Brahma Singh

Jogendra Singh S/o Brahma Singh

Name & Address of Applicant R/o Mukam, Post – Bijwasan, New Delhi -61 (New Delhi). Name of Mine Masonry Stone Mine Mineral Masonry Stone Area (ha) 1.0 Hect. Status of Project Existing Mining lease

2.2 Brief description of nature of the project The mining lease area is 1.0 ha. in Khatipura, Tehsil- Khetri, District - Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan) with proposed annual production capacity of 1,07,335T (ROM) by o pencast mining followed by drilling and Blasting method .

2.3 Need for the Project and Its Importance to the Country or Region The said project plays a significant role in the construction a chieving a huge infrastructure as being envisaged by Government of particularly in road basic building materials . The mining activities as proposed are the backbone of all construction and infrastructure projects as the raw material for construction is available only from such mining.

2.4 Demands-Supply Gap There is large demand of Masonry Stone (Cheja Patthar) to the nearby markets and stone crusher units. The crushed material of stone crus her units is us ed in infrastructure projects . This mineral is also used as masonry stone in infrastructure. Presently, maximum infrastructure projects are in operation hence this pro ject will be viable.

2.5 Imports vs. Indigenous Production Indigenous Production : The demand for Masonry Stone (Cheja Patthar ) is ever growing. The mineral is used in infrastr ucture sector as masonry stone. Therefore the re is always a good demand of the mineral in the domestic market. Export Market : The re is no poss ibility of export of masonry stone from this lease area.

2.6 Export Possibility There is no proposal to export the Masonry Stone (Cheja Patthar).

2.7 Domestic/ Export Markets A) Domestic Market The Stone along excavated will be directly sold to nearby villages in Tehsil - Khetri and may furthe r transported to Stone Crus her Zone. B) Export Market There is no pos sibility of export of masonry stone from this lease area.

2.8 Employment Generation (Direct and indirect) due to the project Project will create direct & indirect employment within the surrounding region. Unit will use good faith efforts to employ local people from nearby villages depending upon the availability of skilled and unskilled man -power surrounding the project site. In operational phase , the proposed expansion required 50 skilled, 37 unskilled persons. In addition to that functions like supply of explosive preparation and amendment of plans etc. will also require professionals. This project operation will provide livelihood to the poorest section of the society.
