HOW WE WORK Peace Corps Cambodia is grateful for the guidance, collegiality and encouragement from its Government of Cambodia ff After two months of intensive language, culture and partners. technical training, Peace Corps Volunteers live with host families in the rural villages and communities where they work for two years. ff Living with a family helps Volunteers integrate into the community in which they work, study local culture and traditions and learn to speak Khmer. ff Each Volunteer is paired with a counterpart of community partner in their respective programmatic area. Education volunteers are paired with fellow teachers or school directors. Health volunteers are paired with rural health center directors, midwives or village health volunteers. ff Volunteers also lead activities related to environmental education, art, sports, traffic safety, gardening, and youth
