When the daytime running light system is active, the clearance lights, front side marker lights, tail lights and rear side marker lights are also On. When you turn the headlight switch to the position for full illumination when driv- ing at night you will not notice any difference in the Low Beam. If the parking brake is applied before the engine is started, the daytime running lights do not illumi- nate. The daytime running lights illuminate when the parking brake is released. The daytime run- ning lights remain on while the engine is running. It is necessary at dusk to turn headlight switch ON for interior controls and switches to illumi- nate, as those remain OFF while switch is in the OFF position.
