Broadband Provision According to the latest OFCOM data (2013) Bagillt post codes (where data is available) have a median average broadband range of 1.1-9.6 megabytes per second with most postcodes at 3 mbps. Accordingly it is to be expected that broadband provision in Bagillt is very poor and highly constrained indeed many areas are likely to struggle to access broadband speeds in this locality. This will have a negative effect on businesses in their day to day activities and on local residents seeking to access online services such as banking, post office services or online shopping. Other Comments None.

Previous Surveys of Service Provision

In the 2000 survey of Bagillt the survey records that Bagillt has “one main medical surgery and one branch surgery, two post offices with shops, one chemist, 4 other shops, 2 fast food takeaways, a community centre, library and youth club, a primary school and a variety of open spaces and play areas. Comparing the 2015 survey of service provision there have been changes in service provision such as the closure of a public house and the arrival of the private gym in Boot End.

Mapping Service Provision

Bagillt is a large village with good service provision, some of these are illustrated on the map overleaf. Bagillt is relatively close to Flint and Holywell wherein there are significant employment opportunities and offer a much wider range of services and facilities.
