On October 17, NBEC and local emergency response professionals staged a mock disaster. The following debriefing notes resulted:

• Some of the communication, which was supposed to be transmitted to some of the key players in the field had not been transmitted or transmitted later. The initial advisory to the RCMP did not include that Hazmat material was involved.
