The route links the towns of Somma Lombardo, Vizzola Ticino, Lonate Pozzolo, Ferno, Cardano al Campo, and Casorate Sempione. The start of the route is close to the Playing Field in Somma Lombardo on Repubblica Avenue. You take Via Molino Secco to then follow the wooden signposts with the trail marking “As”, standing for “trail of the Astronomers”, which is part of the trail network called “Green streets in the Ticino Valley Park”. You follow the “As” trail until you reach Via Locatelli in Vizzola Ticino. Once by the church in Vizzola Ticino, you leave the “As” trail and you take a right, going down into Via Castello, and then you follow the trail marking “Ip”, standing for “trail Ipposidra”. When the “Ip” trail meets the cycle track of Alto Ticino, industrial channel and Villoresi channel, you head South along the right side of the Ticino River. Once by the iron bridge on the Ticino, which links Oleggio and Tornavento, you leave the “As” trail and you meet again the cycle track of Alto Ticino, industrial channel and Villoresi channel to then follow the trail marking “Vg – Ct” (via del Gaggio – anello di Cardano). You ride by the center Ticino Park “ex Austro-Hungarian customs”. You cross the towns of Vizzola Ticino, Lonate Pozzolo, Ferno, and Cardano al Campo. In the woods in Cardano al Campo, the trail “Vg – Ct” makes a ring. You leave the trail “Vg – Ct” right after the Playing Field in Cardano al Campo to then take the trail “Ca”, trail of Casorate which, crossing the trail “As”, takes back to the starting point.
