Draw for Entries Wednesday, November 25, 2020 6 p.m. at Test Secretary’s Home. Our draw will follow Chapter 1, Section 13, of AKC’s Tracking Regulations.

Day of Test: Draw for Tracks Location: 10:00 a.m., Blatt Farm, Maysville, GA Tracks will be run as soon as they have aged sufficiently.

Awards Each dog passing the TDX test will receive a rosette and the last article on its track. Each dog will receive their draw toy offered by Bob and Gail LaBerge, Outland.

Covid 19 and Hospitality Practices (PLEASE READ IMPORTANT)

Due to Covid 19, Atlanta Obedience Club will not provide complimentary breakfast for exhibitors and spectators. Bottled water will be provided.

All State and Local Guidelines will be followed concerning Covid 19. Everyone will be expected to wear a mask when not in their car or an exhibitor is not on a track with their dog 6 feet from the Judges. The draw will be handled where everyone will stand at least 6 feet apart, and the Secretary will call each one up one at a time to draw an article. Vehicles will be parked with increased distance between them.

Fields are a combination of woods and open although some are surrounded by barbed wire fences and include groundcover native to the area that occasionally is mowed.

Notes to Exhibitors Chapter 3, Section 1, of the Tracking Regulations: “Eligibility. This test will be for dogs not less than six (6) months of age that are eligible for entry and that meet the requirements of the following Section 2. A dog may continue to participate in this test after it has earned the titles TD, TDX or VST. Dogs not holding a Tracking Dog title will be given priority for entry in the test by the tracking test secretary.”

Bitches in season may participate in accordance with Chapter 2, Section 8, of the Tracking Regulations.

Notes to Exhibitors and Spectators • The Test Secretary’s cell phone is available the day of the test for emergency contact: (770) 722-9371 • Tracking test hours: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. • Park only in designated areas. • Pick up after yourselves and your dogs. • Bring your own shade, chairs, and water. • Dogs are not allowed off lead during test hours. • Any complaints from motels regarding exhibitors may result in a show committee hearing. • All persons on the property used for the test must sign a waiver of liability. This form will be available at the draw. • No smoking on the testing grounds. • Chapter 1, Section 17 of the Tracking Regulations: “Dogs Running Free. Due to the changing nature of the fields being used by clubs for tracking tests and the increased population at these sites by the general public, dogs must be “on lead” at all times on any area of the tracking site.”

Directions to Draw Site and Test Site

From I-85 take Exit 140 (Dry Pond Road). If coming from the North, turn left at the top of the ramp. If coming from the South, turn right at the top of the ramp. Continue approximately 2 miles to where the road ends at a T intersection. Landmark is a tiny convenience store on the right corner. Make a left onto 82 Connector. Go straight for about 3 miles. You will cross over Interstate 85 and then over a new bridge over the North Oconee River. Go slow at this time and start to look for Blatt Farm sign at a driveway (paved) on the left side of the road. There will be signs on the drive that direct you to a large metal building that will be our headquarters for the draw and the test. From Athens, Google the address and it will give you directions to the Farm.

INSTRUCTIONS [1] (Variety) If you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), (toy, miniature, standard). [2] The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. [4] A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name.
