Sitting high on a ridge overlooking the Etherow Country Park with breath taking panoramic views of the beautiful Cheshire countryside as far as the hills and mountains of North Wales, Peruga provides a wonderfully romantic setting for your wedding.
The restaurant is tastefully decorated and set in 3 ½ acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.
Our private function room is ideal for an intimate celebration, and we can also offer exclusive use of the restaurant and grounds. Both the function room and restaurant are fully licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships, so your whole day can be spent at the same venue.
Peruga has been hosting weddings for over 40 years and our experienced, friendly and efficient team will ensure a truly unique day you will never forget.
The information in this pack acts purely as a guideline. Everything from table arrangements to the menu can be discussed and personalised to suit your needs. CIVIL CEREMONIES AT PERUGA
We are fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies and civil partnerships in either our private function room or the top level of the restaurant. Both the function room and the restaurant can accommodate a maximum of 70 seated guests, with additional standing room available in the restaurant. There is an additional charge of £100 for holding your ceremony onsite. If you are planning to hold your civil ceremony at Peruga, please contact Stockport Registry office 0161 217 6007 directly to book your preferred date and time.
FAQS
You will no doubt have lots of questions and hopefully the following will go somewhere to answering many of them, however your Wedding Co-Ordinator will be able to help and guide you throughout. Who will be our contact throughout and on the day? The Wedding Co-ordinator or another manager will be on hand throughout, from enquiring and on the day itself, to ensure everything runs smoothly. How many guests can you cater for? 70 for onsite wedding ceremony 100 for sit down meal 150 for buffet style How do we make a booking? To book Peruga for your wedding please contact the Wedding Co-ordinator on 0161 241 0412 or email at [email protected]. If you would like to make a provisional booking we are happy to hold a date for up to 14 days, if at all possible, when a deposit along with a signed and completed booking form are required to confirm the booking. What is the deposit and when do we pay the remaining balance? The deposit to confirm your booking is £500 and will be refunded after your event has taken place subject to loss and damage. An interim payment of £1000 is required three months prior to your wedding, with the remaining balance due 28 days before the wedding date. What happens at a civil ceremony/civil partnership? A civil ceremony is a non-religious ceremony conducted by a Registrar from Stockport County Council. Can we provide our own flowers and entertainment? We are very happy for you to arrange your own flowers and entertainment. We have included some local suppliers which previous weddings have been delighted with. Can we provide our own drinks? We have a well-stocked bar supplying a huge range of drinks and can usually arrange to have available most special requests. How many people should we cater for in the evening? We request that you cater for 80% of your evening guests. Do you provide accommodation? We do not have accommodation, however, we list of a range of places to stay including local hotels, unique and award winning B&B’s/guest houses and Luxury Lodge accommodation in our Suppliers List. What time does the bar and venue close? The bar closes at 12.00 midnight, last orders are 11.45pm, we ask that music/DJs are finished by 12.00 midnight and the night comes to a close at 12.30am. What about Taxis? Details of a number of local taxi companies can be found in our Supplier List in this wedding pack. We generally suggest booking them at least 2 weeks prior to ensure availability at close of the evening.

Specialising in modern British cuisine, the restaurant caters for all tastes and all our food is prepared and cooked fresh by our team of dedicated chefs using local ingredients wherever possible. The following menu selections have been chosen by our Head Chef to offer you a superb choice of dishes, ranging from traditional English classics to innovative contemporary cuisine. If you have particular favourites, requests or dietary requirements, we are very happy to create a bespoke menu for you. To provide total flexibility, you can also make individual choices from our buffet and canapé menus.
