RESEARCH AND TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Graduate Research, Department of Chemistry, University of Illinois (2012-2017) Primary research aims focused on designing multiplexed cytokine assays for in vitro diagnostics using silicon photonic microring resonator arrays. Assays were applied to latent tuberculosis infection, sepsis, and protein characterization. Additional projects included work classifying human cancer lines’ lipid profiles as biomarkers for disease differentiation and their unique response to fatty acid synthase inhibitors using desorption .

Graduate Teaching Assistant, Department of Chemistry University of Illinois (2012-2013) Instrumental Chemistry Systems Laboratory, Head TA (Spring 2013). Instructor Ranked as Excellent (2013).

Undergraduate Research, Department of Chemistry, The Ohio State University (2010-2012) I surveyed and synthesized key structural motifs for selective aqueous halide detection, developing a strict analytical methodology for characterizing response.

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, Department of Chemistry, The Ohio State University (2011-2012) Introductory and Instrumental Analysis Laboratory.
