Sunday 15th September : Members of Wellingborough Mandir will be visiting us. They will be arriving @1pm and there will be Satsang and till 5pm followed by Bhojan Prasadi.

Sunday 29th September – Monday 7th October : Sharad Navratri

NAVRATRI CELEBRATIONS

Mataji Pooja can be performed everyday at the Mandir after morning Aarti @ £21 per aasan of four people. Please contact Poojari Dharmeshbhai. Mandir will be closed @ 7.30 pm during Navratri.

Navratri celebrations at the Cresset from Sunday 29th September to Monday 7th October @ 7.30 pm onwards. Address : The Cresset, The Bretton Centre , PE3 8DX

Programme : Mataji Aarti @ £15. Please give your names to Ramnikbhai Mashru at the venue. First Aarti @ 7.30 pm. Second Aarti @ 10.30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, @ 11.30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Competitions

1) Fancy Dress Competition for children on Friday October 4th : This year we are celebrating 150 years of Mahatma Gandhiji’s birth anniversary. So our theme for the Fancy Dress competition will be Gandhiji & Kasthuriba.

Children competing for the event must be present at the venue before 8.30pm and their names should be given at the Reception Counter. Entries will be closed after 8.30pm.

2) Garbha Dancing Competition : On Saturday 5th October Competition will be @ 8.30pm. It is for both Men and Women. Adults age group 17 years + and children 7 years – 16 years. Those who wish to participate should be present at the venue before 8.30pm.

3) Aarti Thali Competition on Sunday 6th October. All entries must be received by 8.30 pm. Please contact the Reception Counter at the venue.

Bidding will also be done for Gauchara boxes on this day. So please come prepared.

Membership Card : Members are requested to bring their membership cards for entry to the venue. One card per person for entry. This year the colour of the card is orange and the Serial Number starts from 19---.

Otherwise the Guest Fees of £5 per person has to be paid. If you have lost or misplaced your card then please contact the BHS Committee members or email [email protected]

Guest Fees @ £5 per adult >18 years . <18 years free entry.

We welcome donations for light refreshments such as drinks ( strictly non alcoholic), water, sweets ( without gelatine and egg) and crisps ( no non- vegetarian flavours ) before or at the venue.

Please ensure Prasadi and offerings are strictly vegetarian.

Sunday 6th October – Children’s Garbha programme at Mandir 2pm – 4pm Special Garbha, Dandiya and Aarti for children. If anybody wants to sponsor snacks/drinks/gifts for children please contact Binaben @ [email protected]

Children’s Diwali Party Saturday 26th October @ 1pm – 4pm : A play ‘ HANUMAN MOVES A MOUNTAIN’ An Attempt to eat the Sun will be staged at BHS @ 1pm – 4pm followed by refreshments. Admission £5 per child or per adult.

Sunday 27th October – Chopda Poojan : Lakshmi and Chopda pooja @ 7.30pm @ £11 per aasan of 4 people.

Monday 28th October – Annakoot/ Gujarati New Year

Mandir will be open @ 9am onwards for the whole day. Members can bring their offering of food/ fruits/ flower offerings anytime.

Goverdhan Pooja @ 11am onwards @ £11 per aasan of four people.

Satsang @ 5pm onwards, followed by evening aarti and sharing of members’ Prasadi.

Rangoli Competition – Interested members can prepare at home or at BHS and display in the space provided. All entries must be received before 5pm. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded.

Sunday, 3rd November - SKANDA SHASTI (THIRUKKALYAANAM): @ 9:30 am onwards - Homam, Abhishek,Pooja & Kalyanam will be performed. This is followed by Maha Prasadam as it is a wedding of Lord Murugan. Looking for sponsors for this event @51/- per family.
