2017 Bay to Breakers Expo at Pier 35 Friday, May 19th & Saturday, May 20th

This weekend, the 2017 Bay to Breakers presented by Alaska Airlines and operated by Wasserman Events is back in town. The race expo is beginning as early as 11:00AM on Friday morning, with the finish line festival concluding the weekend on Sunday. The following information is being provided for preliminary trip planning. For additional information please visit the 2017 Bay to Breakers website.

The 2017 Bay to Breakers Expo will be held at Pier 35 (1454 The Embarcadero, San Francisco, 94133) beginning Friday, May 19th and concluding Saturday, May 20th. Please note of the location change. Instead of Center, the expo will take place at Pier 35. The expo will feature the very latest in fitness technology, gear and nutrition. Runners will be able to pick up their race packets at the Expo. The Expo is open to the public. Please click here for more information on the expo.

2017 Bay to Breakers Race & Route Overview Embarcadero to Sunday, May 21st, 2017 @ 8 AM

The 105th Annual Bay to Breakers 12k race will be held on Sunday, May 21st starting at 8 AM. The 12k race starts near the at Howard and Main and runs west through the city and finishes at the Great Highway. The Alaska Airlines Bay to Breakers Finish Line Festival comes to life as runners cross the finish line alongside Ocean Beach following the race. 2017 Bay to Breakers Race Day Transportation Sunday, May 21st, 2017

Public and private transit agencies in the Bay Area will be offering earlier, extra service to accommodate Bay to Breakers participants. The following is a summary of increased transit service for Sunday and is provided by baytobreakers.com:

Public Transit Services

MUNI – Express Service

Passes are available for purchase on the Alaska Airlines Bay to Breakers registration page. Passes are valid all day on race day on Muni services (excluding Cable Car). Avoid the lines and purchase your pass in advance. For information on passes, please visit SFMTA. The race will impact Muni service all day Sunday (5/21). Click here for more details.

BART – Early Opening and Extra Trains

The BART system will open approximately 2 hours early, at 6:00AM on Sunday. Customers should arrive at stations with additional time to spare, approximately 30 minutes. Special event trains will run at various times throughout the day to accommodate the crowds. All trains will operate “long” or weekday peak commute period lengths throughout the day. Caltrain – Extra Trains

Caltrain will be running special service on race day. There will be four extra pre-race trains to San Francisco and three express trains after the race to San Jose. Click here for the special service schedule. One-way and Day Pass tickets to the Alaska Airlines Bay to Breakers will go on sale starting May 18th at any station ticket machine.

Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry – Added Service
