Duke Kahanamoku Room Dedicated

By Marilyn Kali Nearly 200 Club members, Kahanamoku family members and friends of the late Duke Kahanamoku gathered at the Outrigger Canoe Club on August 24th to celebrate the 97th birthday of the legendary swimmer and dedicate an executive dining room at the Club in his name. The event was sponsored by the Out­ rigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation which perpetuates Duke's memory by offering financial assistance to promis­ ing young athletes from , and the Kamaaina Hui.
