Orders are to be placed from 1 July or until the scheme is fully subscribed. Council reserves the right to suspend the Rural Tree Scheme before 1 December. Collection of planting stock from nursery: You should present your voucher and species order form at the chosen nursery between 1 July and 1 December for collection the following autumn or as negotiated with the nursery. All plants must be picked up by 19 June 2022. Plants must be picked up before the end of June to guarantee their supply. Height: Tree heights will vary per site; heights are given as an indication of the species potential. Soils: Indicates the soil type/s each plant is best suited to: s = sand, sl = sandy loam, l = loam, cl = clay loam, c = clay Sites: I = irrigated land. W = wet, waterlogged or depressions areas or areas that are wet because of excess irrigation water in summer, or hold water during the rest of the year. S = saline discharge areas, areas that are salt affected can often be identified by the loss of white clover and dominance of salt tolerant plants (such as Barley grass). C = check bank plantings or irrigated shelter belts (areas where irrigated perennial pasture is growing well).
