Present: Andrew Kirk (Chair), Kate Adamson, Scott Bruce, Carol Ritchie, David Ritchie In attendance: Cllr Bill Lobban Apologies: Robert McInnes, Fiona McMullen

Inspector Mairi Grant of Police Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey She took up the role in March 2013. Previously involved in changes to Police . She wanted to draw our attention to slight changes to Community Engagement, because of the new Police Plan which will last 3 years, and they will be required to consult us on this Main issues in area are Road Safety and Antisocial behaviour We received assurance that someone would attend our meetings: the duty back shift sergeant will delegate person on duty to come, so we will not see the same officer, and it will depend on what other commitments they have on our evenings In future the local force will have no more staff, but the numbers should not drop further Road Statistics: Figures since 2011 available Speeding numbers not as high on Main Road or Grantown Road as on Road, due to nature of road. She noted that 2 flashing signs had been organised. The Police and the Council are keen to see how these effect speed and statistics before looking at other measures. Decision taken by members of Community Council that we would wait before doing anything further It was observed that Statistics do depend on how many police staff are available (June stats are lower than May) as holiday periods effect them Lastly, Inspector Grant drew attention to local Police telephone lines not being in action now, as they are put through to Inverness on 101 (replaced 999)
