The tour will begin with a visit to Raj Ghat & Shanti Vana, a simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi; drive past the Red Fort continuing to the Jama Masjid, It is the largest mosque in India, accommodating up to 25,000 worshippers at one time. The Photography Archive at the City Palace Museum Udaipur A small slice of Udaipur’s history was uncovered in May 2008 when the City Palace Complex at Udaipur yielded several trunks packed with photographs. Safely maintained over the decades among the various storerooms and inner recesses of the vast City Palace Museum Udaipur (hereafter CPMU), the trunks hold several thousand loose photographs, folios, and framed images, which are currently being catalogued and archived. Numbering more than 15,000 images, these photographs are part of the Pictorial Archives of The Maharanas of Mewar, Udaipur, and are currently housed at the CPMU. A first exhibition of these photographs has already been mounted at the newly restored Bhagwat Prakash Gallery in the Zenana Mahal of the complex. Titled Long Exposure, 1857−1957: The Camera at Udaipur, the exhibition and the study of the collection is gradually revealing an unabashed “native” gaze and perception in what the camera’s lens set out to capture.

    IOSR Journal Of Humanities And Social Science (IOSR-JHSS) Volume 25, Issue 2, Series. 4 (February. 2020) 14-19 e-ISSN: 2279-0837, p-ISSN: 2279-0845. www.iosrjournals.org Archaeological Exploration of Sirohi District, Rajasthan Priyank Talesara1, Aniruddh Bahuguna2 1Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology, Madhav University, India 2Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology, Avdhesh Pratap Singh University, India Abstract: Background: The research paper based on archaeological exploration in oldest Aravalli mountain range especially Mount Abu Region of Sirohi District, Here we explored ruins of art and architecture of ancient temples, cave temples, even shreds of evidence of defence structure was found such as massive fortress, watch- towers and fortification, large structural complexes, moreover massive stretched strong rampart (defensive- wall), defensive-cave structures and stone tools. Technology/Application method (research methodology): For data, we use other application of archaeology including GIS application/aerial view (remote-sensing method) and photographic view of the landscape of mountains which naturally protected site of the fortress. And even surveyed too many areas here to understand its geomorphology related to stones which were part of building these structures. Powerful technological applications, like tracing the geo-coordinate location of structures and ruins. Other techniques like plain table survey method include contour of the area to know its higher-point, elevation and even height of the area above sea-level.

The rarity of Medieval sites, systematic excavations and multi-disciplinary work in the subcontinent obscure the impact of two distinct climate anomalies À the ‘Medieval Warm Period’ (‘MWP’, 740 À 1150 CE), followed by the ‘Little Ice Age’ (‘LIA’, 1350 À 1850 CE). The finds from the archaeological site indicate the presence of winter and summer crops, suggesting the region was likely warm and mild humid during pre-Medieval period (ca. 600 À 800 CE). During Medieval times (between ca. 800 À 1300 CE), a diversification of the crop assemblage suggests that the region was under a warm and humid climate, corresponding to the ‘MWP’, driving increased monsoon precipitation. During the post-Medieval period (ca. 1350 À 1800 CE), drought-resistant millets and other summer pulse crops indicate the region probably expe- rienced weak SW monsoon precipitation coinciding with globally recognised ‘LIA’. These interpretations are supported through phytolith data from the archaeological deposit broadly indicating two phases, the first being a period of diversified agricultural/anthropogenic activity (ca.
