GRINDELWALD In Grindelwald all lifts are equipped for disabled persons in winter. Apart from the fun on the slopes, you can also take it a little easier in the village. With a carriage ride or a simple individual village tour.

JUNGFRAUJOCH – TOP OF Icy air caresses your face, snow crunches under your feet and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side, the view of Midlands to the Vosges mountains, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four-thousand-metre peaks. Whoever stands on the , 3’454 metres above sea level, feels at the step: this is another world. One that one must have experienced. For groups of 3 or more wheelchair users, registration is essential. Please contact the train staff so that they can help you to change trains in . GROSSE SCHEIDEGG – GRINDELWALD Individual arrival from Grindelwald by bus to . After a short refreshment at the Grosse Scheidegg mountain hotel, the bus descends on the asphalt road in about two hours towards Grindelwald.

BUSSALP – GRINDELWALD Take a leisurely bus ride to Bussalp at 1800 metres above sea level. Afterwards you go back down to Grindelwald, refreshed. It takes about two and a half hours on the asphalt road through the forest past green pastures.

MÄNNLICHEN – HOLENSTEIN – GRINDELWALD With the gondola from Grindelwald Grund (advance booking recommended) or from up to Männlichen. After enjoying the view of the 3 world-famous mountains , Mönch and Jungfrau you return to Grindelwald via Holenstein. To Holenstein it takes about one and a half hours (on foot). From there, one can either take the gondola for the second half or walk for another hours and a half to Grindelwald. An off-road wheelchair is recommended.

HIKING MÄNNLICHEN-KLEINE SCHEIDEGG Just in front of the world-famous mountain backdrop of the Eiger, Mönch anf Jungfrau, the hiking trail via «» leads to Bustiglen and then further to Kleine Scheidegg. An off-road wheelchair is recommended. There is a steep incline just before the end of the hike.

ABBACH - WASSERFALL / HINWEG - 1 STD. Follow the footpath between the post office and Hotel Kreuz&Post – past Hotel Sonnenberg to the Terrassenweg/Gaggi-Sage junction. From there, walk further uphill towards Bussalp, along the asphalt road through forests and past pastures to the beautiful Abbach waterfall.

FIRST Take the comfortable First cable car from Grindelwald up to the top of the First in about 30 minutes. There you can enjoy the unique view, a restaurant and a short visit to the Cliff Walk. However, only the viewing platform is of advantage there.

PFINGSTEGG The Pfingstegg is Grindelwald’s lookout post. Here you can enjoy the view over the Grindelwald valley and take a bird’s eye views of the Eiger village. In addition to the practical gondola ride. There is also a has been wheelchair assessable since summer 2014

WENGEN

WENGEN Take the new Männlichen cable car up to Männlichen and then ski through the region. Wengen also offers individual village tours in the snow in winter.

KULINARISCHER DORFRUNDGANG WENGEN On this guided tour there is a lot of exciting information about Wengen. There is also the possibility to try some local specialities.

MÜRREN

MÜRREN Apart from the world famous Schilthorn – Piz Gloria, Mürren is also a beautiful small village which is easily accessible for wheelchairs in winter. Not only the car-free village is recommendable, but also the ski slopes in Mürren are worth a descent.

SCHILTHORN – PIZ GLORIA The Schilthorn – Piz Gloria offers a 360° view of more than 200 mountains, including the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. On the Schilthorn, secret agent feeling is always present. In the late 60S the James Bond film «In Her Majesty’s Secret Service» was shot with the leading actor George Lazenby. The BOND WORLD 007, the WALK OF FAME 007 and specialities like the 007 Burger or the 007 Brunch can be visited and tasted on the Piz Gloria. The PIZ GLORIA VIEW provides a direct view of the famous revolving restaurant.

LAUTERBRUNNEN

LAUTERBRUNNEN By train from Ost you can quickly reach the valley of 72 waterfalls. Whether by bus or on foot, the villag ecan be seen quickly. Lauterbrunnen is the hubto get to Mürren to Wengen.

WANDERUNG LAUTERBUNNENTAL TRAIL: LAUTERBRUNNEN-TRÜMMELBACHFÄLLE- STECHELBERG (2.5h) An easy, mostly flat hiking route, which passes many waterfalls an impressive rocks. The view into the rear Lauterbrunnen Valley is breathtaking. The trail leads from Lauterbrunnen along the village road, past the Staubbach Falls and along the old road to Stechelberg, always straight on. After about 45 minutes, the trail branches off to the left to the Trümmelbach Falls. If you want to walk directly to Stechelberg, follow the road straight on. Return by post bus to Lautebrrunnen.

HASLITAL

HASLITAL The historical village tour through is also worth a trip in winter. In addition to a delicious brunch on the Alpentower and a descent on skis, a bus trip to the Rosenlaui Valley or the Grimsel World is also worth a trip. The indoor swimming pool in Meiringen is the ideal place to relax and warm up afterwards.

GLACIER CANYON ROSENLAUI The Haslital is one of the large transverse valleys of the Alpine massif. It extends from the Grimsel to the Brienzersee. The flat bottom of the lower valley is spearated from the upper valley by an impsing rocky riegel. Over tenthounsands of yeards, the Are has eroded a course through the limestone rocks of the «Kirchet», creating a 1.4 km long, up to 200 m deep gorge, which in places is only 1 to 2 metres wide. The walk through the gorge is a special way to discover nature. Only half of the Are Gorge is wheelchair accessible, followeg by steps.

DORFRUNDGANG MEIRINGEN The tour takes you from the Tourist Center at Meiringen train station to Casinoplatz, the central square in Meiringen. Here you will learn all about Sherlock Holmes, the English Church and Melchior Aderegg. Afterwards you continue to Moli Meiringen, where you can taste Haslital delicacies. Past the Alpbach bridghe you will reach the historic centre of Meiringen. Finally you can try the sweet meringues in the Frutal pastry shop and bakery.
