Dear friends,
I would like to invite you to the 29th World club coarse fishing championship which will take place in the Slovak republic in June 13.-14. 2009.
Slovakia is small country in the heart of Europe 3 sides bounded by the Carpathy mountains and by the Danube river in the south. It consists of productive plains in the surrounding of Danube and of more than 2.500 m high shields of the smallest bigmountains of the world – High Tatras. The country has cca 6.000.000 inhabitants living in the area of 49.030 km². The capital city is Bratislava. Slovakia is a country rich in natural beauty and sightseeings.
The right of fishing is secured by the Slovak Fishing Association, which has more than 100.000 members. Its seat is the town Žilina. In Slovakia is possible to fish in the standing waters (e.g. barrages, gravell-barrages, old rivers „arms“) and in the running waters of rivers Danube, Váh, Hron, Orava, Hornád, Nitra, etc.
The 29th World club championship, organized by the Slovak Fishing Association, will take place in the area of the Town of Hlohovec, in a small village of Madunice, on the river Váh. In the small, but very nice village of Madunice, will take place the opening (June 12th) and the closing ceremony (June 14th), too. On this competition venue were already organized the World and European championships of Nations in the years 2003 and 2005, which were classified as one of the best organized coarse fishing championships.
For those, who didn´t visit Slovakia yet, the town of Hlohovec is located approximately 70 km NE from the capital city Bratislava and 20 km S from the worldwide famous spa town of Pieš ťany.
Me and the organizing committee of this championship promise you, that we will do all our best to prepare everything for you to be satisfied and to feel comfortable.

T H E V E N U E
The track is built on the Madunický channel, which is a part of the longest Slovak river – Váh, and which is well known due to its abundant fish population. The track is continuous and it meets the requierements of the FIPSed international regulations.
Locality : a water re servoir S ĺň ava under the town of Pieš ťany on the river Váh supplies an incoming channel water electric generating station Madunice (VE Madunice). Under this VE Madunice on the junky channel is the race course in the length of 3500 m. A waste channel joins northerly over the town Hlohovec with the river Váh, which in parallel flows from VN S ĺň ava in a initial manger.
Channel : Waste channel has broken trapezion shape with width flat broke 57,0 m. Near a mini hydrostatic surface is water depth 2,20 m and wid th 75,0 m, near average daily hydrostatic surface is water depth 2,80 m and width 81,0 m.
The rate of the flow near minimum is virtually soon clearing – standing, near average daily is little by little flowing. Adjustment of a flow is in competence of dis patching. Flow of channel has generally 3 vertices /day.
Bottom of the channel is blinding stony, only rare sloughs. Slopes in the touch water surface are unloading with quarry stone. Vacuum element is once broken and to the crown slope of channel is grassing down without etage tree and shrubs.
Appearance of fish : Common breams are the dominant specie alongside all the track, reaching the mass up to 2 kg. Barbels up to 3 kg are abundant as well as zarthes averaging 0,5 kg. From among other fish species the following can be found: crucian carps, carps, roaches, chubs, bleaks and the predators, such as pikes, common walleyes and wels. The main fishing method is with „Roubaisienne“ rods, but also with so called „Bolognese“ rods .
The length of the rods according to the FIPSed competition rules is limited to 13.00 meters!

B A I T S a n d G R O U N D B A I T S L I M I T A T I O N
TRAINING DAYS
1. The teams must respect the training hours indicated in the official program of the championship (no baiting will be authorised before the official signal). No other heavy baiting may be done after the official 5 minutes.
On the 5 th training day, Friday morning, the heavy baiting signal will be given at 10.30 a.m. and all angling must stop at 1.30 p.m. without fail. No training will be authorised after 1.30 p.m. The venue must absolutely be free from people by 2.30 p.m.. ň
2. Only one heavy baiting session is permitted (at 10.30 a.m.) at the beginning of the first training session, using at most an identical amount of bait and ground bait to that allowed for the two championship sessions. In the second training session, which begins at 3 p.m., the amount of ground bait [measured on a ready-for-use basis (wet and sieved), and inclusive of earth, gravel, corn maize, wheat, hempseed, etc. and other additives that are not toxic for the fauna and the water environment] is limited to 5 litres. Light baiting only must be performed (heavy baiting is forbidden). The use of bait in addition to that authorised for the first session is forbidden, thus controls will be carried out.
COMPETITION DAYS
1. The quantity of ground bait [this must be measured when ready to use (wet and sieved) including earth, gravel, corn maize, wheat, hempseed, etc. and other additives that are not obnoxious for the fauna and the water environment] is limited to 17 litres. The executive committee of F.I.P.S.e.d. may modify these quantities, after a proposal from the technical committee;
2. The quantity of baits (all included baits will be measured and not pressed) is limited to 2.5 litres of which jokers and/or bloodworms may constitute a maximum of 1 litre . The executive committee of F.I.P.S.e.d. may modify these quantities, upon a proposal from technical committee.
The composition of ground baits and baits must be of natural origin. It is forbidden to use product of metal origin. Artificial baits such as imitation of maggots, silkworms, moths, bloodworms, earthworms, etc. are prohibited. All surplus of ground baits and baits must not be thrown into the water after the training period and the competition.
