2020-21 BRUINS MEDIA POLICIES FOR WARRIOR ICE ARENA AND TD GARDEN

Due to social distancing and reduced capacity regulations set forth by the , the City of Boston and the Commonwealth of , media access to games and practices will be limited during the 2020-21 season, and our media policies are subject to change. During this time, we ask for your flexibility and understanding as we run our media operations under these guidelines and to the best of our abilities. Thank you for your continued coverage and we look forward to working with you this season.

HEALTH GUIDELINES/PROTOCOLS FOR COVERING BRUINS PRACTICES AND GAMES

Each media member and credential holder agrees not to attend the applicable practice or game if any one or more of the following is true on such day:

-Within the prior 14 days, the holder has (or any person with whom the holder has had close contact has) tested positive for, or been exposed to someone who tested positive for, COVID-19

-Within the prior 48 hours, the holder has (or any person with whom the holder has had close contact has) experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g. fever of 100.4 F or higher, cough, headaches, fatigue, muscle or body aches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nausea, diarrhea or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)

-If the holder has traveled outside of the state of Massachusetts in the previous 10 days, they must follow the Massachusetts COVID-19 Travel Order. The Travel Order states that travelers entering the state must complete the MA Travel Form (Link Here) and either quarantine for 10 days or produce a negative COVID-19 test result that has been administered up to 72-hours prior to your arrival in Massachusetts.

Face coverings are required to be worn at all times inside the Warrior Ice Arena and TD Garden; masks must be worn so that the mask covers one’s mouth and nose at the same time

Approved facial coverings: · Non-medical disposable face masks · Cloth face masks · Face shields are approved, but a mask must also be worn Non-approved face coverings: · Masks with exhalation valves or vents

· Masks that do not fit properly, do not cover both the nose and mouth or are made from ineffective materials (loosely, woven fabrics, single layer, leather) · Neck Gaiters

PRACTICE AT WARRIOR ICE ARENA

Practice Coverage Any media members interested in attending a Bruins practice must direct their request to Michael Tolvo ([email protected]) at least 24 hours in advance. No exceptions. Due to NHL safety procedures and media guidelines, a limited number of media will be approved to cover each practice.

Media Entrance Media should arrive through the Warrior Ice Arena entrance located at 80 Guest St. Upon arrival at Warrior Ice Arena, media must report to Level 2 to fill out a Covid-19 contact tracing form. Following the completion of the form, media may proceed to the Level 3 concourse and photographers may proceed to their shooting position on Level 2. Media and photographers may travel to their designated locations via the stairs or the elevators (limit of 2 people per elevator).

Media Arrival Media check in will begin 30 minutes prior to the listed start time. Media who have been granted access to attend practice must arrive during the 30-minute window in advance of the listed start time. For example, for an 11 a.m. session, media may arrive between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Media arriving after the listed start time will not be granted access. No exceptions.

Media Workspace The media workspace is located on the concourse of Warrior Ice Arena on Level 3. Media will be assigned a seat, as indicated on the Warrior Ice Arena seating charts. Media may not leave the concourse area and must always maintain six feet of social distance. Media are encouraged to charge their devices before arriving, as access to power outlets will be limited.

Shooting Positions Still photographers will be assigned a shooting position on the Level 3 concourse. They will be required to remain in their designated shooting position for the duration of the training camp session. Videographers will be assigned a shooting position on Level 2 behind the glass.

Warrior Ice Arena Wireless Information To connect to the private media wireless network at Warrior Ice Arena, media will need to select the “Other…” option underneath the listed wireless networks and manually input the below information:

Departure Media must depart Warrior Ice Arena shortly after the final player media availability.

GAME DAY INFORMATION AT TD GARDEN

Media Entrance and Arrival Media should report to the TD Garden box office, located across from the East executive lobby in to check in and receive credentials. Media will be required to complete The Play It Safe Promise, either by scanning a QR code which will be available at check in, or can be accessed the below link: www.tdgarden.com/promise

Media should then proceed to the stairs across from the Train Station Dunkin Donuts, located in the Northwest corner of North Station. There, their credentials and The Play It Safe Promise will be validated, before they proceed up the stairs to Level 2, to be screened per the NHL’s security policies. Following the screening, media members will take the elevator on Level 2 to the press box on Level 9.

The window in which media members may arrive to TD Garden begins no earlier than 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the game, and concludes at the scheduled start time. For example, for a 7 p.m. game, media may arrive between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Media arriving after the scheduled start time will not be granted access.

Seating charts will be located in visible locations along the path to the press box. Media members will be able to remain in the press box up to one hour after the conclusion of media availability before exiting the arena.

Media Parking Parking is available at the North Station garage. The TD Garden Event Rate is $54.

2020-21 Media Bag Policy All media bags will be searched and tagged upon entry. Color-coded and date stamped tags will be placed on all media bags allowed into the arena.

X-Ray Screening Policy All guests will be subject an X-Ray screening upon entrance to the building.

New Security Measures All entry doors at TD Garden are now outfitted with new state-of-the-art walk-through metal detection systems where individuals will be screened prior to entry. For more information on the new measures, please check out TD Garden’s Policies.

Credential Requests

All media interesting in receiving access to Boston Bruins home games at TD Garden must request a credential 72 hours prior to the game. This includes all media, regardless of if you have previously received a season long credential. To request access, please contact Michael Tolvo ([email protected]). Please note, requesting access WILL NOT guarantee access to the game. You will be notified at least 24 hours in advance of the game if you will be granted access.

Press Box Upon entering the TD Garden, media will be directed to the Press Box on Level 9. Up to four individuals are permitted in the elevator at once. There will not be a media work room/dining area this season; your assigned seat in the press box will serve as your workspace. Media will not be permitted to leave the press box for the entirety of their time at TD Garden, except for in case of emergency. All gameday materials will be provided digitally (e.g. game notes, stats, supplemental stats, roster, starting lineups). Box scores and game sheets will be available on NHL.com. Media members are advised to bring headphones for Zoom availabilities while working at TD Garden. Media members will be able to remain in the press box up to one hour after the conclusion of media availability before exiting the arena.

Live Shots Media interested in sending a camera to film a live shot pre- or post-game must make those requests 72 hours in advance of the game to Michael Tolvo ([email protected]). Media will be permitted to conduct live shots anywhere outside of TD Garden, or inside TD Garden on Level 9. Media members who will be conducting a live shot prior to the game must conclude filming 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Following the live shot, the photographer will not be permitted to remain on Level 9 and must leave TD Garden. The reporter can be designated a seat in the press box if they request it 72 hours in advance. Media conducting a live shot postgame must depart TD Garden within one hour following the conclusion of Boston Bruins coach and player media availability.

Videographers Reporting to TD Garden: Videographers should first report to the box office in North Station across from the executive lobby to pick up their credentials. From there, they need to exit the TD Garden and proceed to the old media entrance, located the East side (Zakim Bridge) of TD Garden at the far end of Legends Way. From Causeway Street, walk all the way down Legends Way past the main doors to North Station/TD Garden. You will see a disability ramp and stairs on the left, with the media entrance at the top. There, they will be screened by security and proceed to the freight elevators, which they will take to Level 9.

Photography All photo positions will be assigned prior to the game. Freelance photographers will not receive credentials; all photographers must be on assignment. Photographers MUST remain in their shooting positions for the duration of the game. Editors interested in sending a photographer should request access to Michael Tolvo ([email protected]) 72 hours prior to the game.

Limited glass shooting positions will be available, in addition to shooting positions on the Club Level. Photographers should report to the TD Garden box office, located across from the East executive lobby in North Station to check in and receive credentials. Media will

be required to complete The Play It Safe Promise, either by scanning a QR code which will be available at check in, or can be accessed the below link: www.tdgarden.com/promise

Photographers should then proceed to the stairs across from the Train Station Dunkin Donuts, located in the Northwest corner of North Station. Following the security screen, photographers with a glass position should proceed to Level 4, and walk down through the lower bowl to their assigned glass shooting position. Photographers who will need to transmit their photos in-game are encouraged to arrive with their laptops fully charged, and to transmit photos from their shooting position using arena Wi-Fi.

Photographers with a club level shooting position should proceed to Level 4, and follow the signs to their assigned section, located on the North side of the TD Garden. Photographers shooting from the club level are also encouraged to transmit their photos from their shooting location using arena Wi-Fi.

Media Meal Media and broadcasters on Level 9 will be provided an individually boxed meal before each game. Media and broadcasters may only eat in their assigned seat on Level 9, while ensuring they maintain six feet of social distancing.

Photographers will be able to eat in a specific meal location on Level 4 before each game. The location will be clearly visible when photographers arrive to Level 4. Photographers will also be provided an individually boxed meal.

PRACTICE INFORMATION AT TD GARDEN

Practices at TD Garden will follow the same guidelines as games at TD Garden. Please see the above polices for any questions regarding arrival and seat locations.

CREDENTIALS & MEDIA SERVICES

Media Credentials 2020-21 single-game credentials will be issued on a limited basis in order to maintain the highest level of safety for media, team personnel and arena staff. Media members

requesting single-game credentials should email Michael Tolvo ([email protected]) 72 hours prior to the game.

Season credential holders must request attendance at home games by emailing Michael Tolvo ([email protected]) at least 72 hours prior to game day. Please note that issuance of a season credential does not guarantee the holder access to the TD Garden for all home games. Approved media members (both single-game requests and season credential holders) who have requested access for a particular game will be notified with a confirmation at least 24 hours prior to game time. Upon arrival at TD Garden, your name will be cross-referenced with the approved media list/seating chart to allow entry into the building.

Non-North American media outlets are required to request media credentials through the National Hockey League by contacting David Keon at [email protected].

Game Day Media Availability Boston Bruins Head Coach and select Bruins players will be available following both morning skate (if applicable), as well as postgame via Zoom.
