PREPARATION FOR COMMENCEMENT OF APOLOGY ORDINANCE

REFLECTIONS OF TERENCE WONG, LEGAL TRAINEE

On joining DOJ in 2017 as a Legal Trainee (Solicitor), I first spent six months in the Civil Litigation Unit of the Civil Division. Here I had wide exposure to different tribunals and boards which was enlightening because my law school training had focused much more on the laws and procedure applicable to Courts. Reviewing a particular tribunal's decisions and subsequently observing a real case before that tribunal were rewarding experiences. During my time in the Civil Litigation Unit, I also contributed to research about Terence Wong (3rd from L) with S J and colleagues the constitutionality of homosexual offences, a topic of interest to me since learning about the William Roy to object or not to object?
