What activities will I be conquering?

The fitness sessions will be designed to challenge you both physically and mentally. There will be a considerable focus on improving core strength, posture, technique, and efficiency. This will improve the efficiency of the smaller, deeper muscles around the hip and pelvis that stabilize your skeletal structure.

This will in effect improve the link between your upper and lower body, and serve as a platform from which your arms and legs work. Improved core strength will decrease risk of injury and increase flexibility. Activities will include;

• Running Speed, agility, fartlek, squad runs, hill runs, stair climbs. • Core Strength Plyometrics, bridging exercises, leg raises, abdominal exercises. • Circuits Boxing, weights, medicine ball activities. • Fitness Tests Measure ”where you are at‘ at the commencement and conclusion of the camp. • Mission Days Specifically designed to challenge the individual & team to achieve a set objective.

Who are my trainers?

Tim Hazell has six years of experience with personal training. Tim is currently working part time with the North Melbourne Football Club (AFL) as a Rehab Fitness Advisor. He also owns his own fitness studio in North Melbourne. Tim has previously been involved with ten week boot camps, corporate fitness programs, and state league hockey & netball sporting team pre-seasons. Tim is an ex-AFL footballer spending four seasons at , and one season at . He is currently playing for Port Melbourne Football Club in the VFL.

Lauren Jauncey is a qualified personal trainer and has significant experience coaching running focusing on the improvement to technique, speed and speed endurance. As a track and field athlete (400m & 400m hurdles) she has competed in state, national and international competitions. Lauren has a combined degree in Commerce and Psychology and works full time as a consultant for the Mettle Group where she works in corporate culture analysis / improvement and sports consulting.

Jacquie Sharples is a qualified personal trainer and has experience coaching sporting teams and individuals. Also a track and field athlete she has competed at a state and national level and also has had significant experience in a variety of team sports, such as VBL basketball. Jacquie has a combined degree in Environmental Engineering and Commerce and works full time at Yarra Valley Water to assist businesses to become more environmentally sustainable.
