Order of Canada Archiect Douglas Cardinal Explores 7 Generation Design Join us to hear about the Cardinals extraordinary philosophy, passion and natural design practice as it applies to the future of culture, sustainable development and their roles in the betterment of the human condition.

On September 19, ResTerra Strategies will host a discussion with visionary architects Douglas and Bret Cardinal at Toronto’s Metro Hall, room 308/309 from 6:00 – 8:00pm.

Douglas Cardinal Architect Inc. has been a reputable presence in architecture for over 40 years. The Cardinal practice considers the design of each building and community to be a spiritual act.

The method by which these designs come into being is not only a a functional process, but also a Traditional Native Design Process which works “from the inside out” and maintains or restores balance with the natural world. Placing people at the heart of the design evolution, coupled with cutting-edge technology, Cardinal projects provide delightful conditions for high performing, accessible and inclusive intergenerational living experiences.

Although the most recent and significant commissions include Discovery Park of America, Meno-Ya-Win Health Center, Victoria Island Development and the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Mr. Cardinal cemented his reputation with his designs for St. Mary’s Church in Red Deer, the Regional College, the Space and Sciences Centre, the Kamloops Community development, the Government Services Centre in Ponoka and the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. among many others.
